Popped in for fish and chips supper as recommended by friend.
Very friendly welcome,ordered large cod with battered chips. Informed fish would be cooked fresh about 10 minutes which it did with a nice light coloured crisp batter not at all greasy. Chips were done to perfection.
Now for the taste test. 12 inches of large flaky cod succulent at a reasonable price of £8.10. Hence the reason for top marks.
Will be definitely be going again.

This is the best chip shop around! The owners are both so very lovely and everything on the menu is delicious and trust me I have tried it all !!! The chicken is better than KFC and better portions very reasonably priced too! You can see why it’s so popular, if you haven’t tried it yet try it!!

The best fish and chips in Blackheath, the fish is genuine cod, and the owner is prepared to fry it for you fresh if you ask. It's the only place I go for fish and chips, the service is also fantastic. I'm not sure why other people have rated it 1 star. I am a regular and have never had refried chips, as far as I am aware the owner tries to keep cooked food levels to minimum to avoid wastage and for that you get fresh chips and fish with minimal waiting times.

Since the reopening I have been a regular and best chip shop locally. You have to wait a few minutes for things to cook but all fresh and good.

Best battered chips around, must say battered with a difference as normally my lips would feel very greasy as a rule but not with Pennys chips, I also had curry sauce on top and she asked me if I wanted more which you wouldn't get from most chippies. She's a very pleasant and warming person is Penny and takes card payment too. Best chippie for miles in my opinion, give Pennys chippie a go ❤️
