Booked the No1 lounge for my and my partner prior to flying out to Mexico from Birmingham
As this was a early flight we knew we would want breakfast and the Wetherspoons now is very dear for what you get
We calculated it would work out cheaper for us to book into a lounge via our tastecard which gave us a discount on the price rather than having breakfast and a few beers at the Spoons
Breakfast options consisted of your standard full English options and a bread roll and there was a very small continental style breakfast
Marked the breakfast down as the quality is okay but expected more from a airport lounge which is advertised as "Luxury".
The seating is comfy enough but it can get bit noisy as the day goes on and the lounge gets busier
Would recommend dependant on what time you are flying and how much you want to eat and drink
Food was cold and not a great selection. Bar staff friendly and tables were always kept clean and free of empties. Certain parts of the lounge felt like a no go area for a single female traveller and were male dominated.
Amazing service in the clubrooms lounge.

I recently enjoyed a phenomenal experience at the No1 Lounge at Birmingham International Airport (BHX), largely thanks to the exceptional staff, particularly Taybah.
The ambiance was welcoming, with comfortable seating and panoramic runway views that fascinated. The food and drink options were diverse and delicious, satisfying various tastes.
Taybah's service was the standout. She went above and beyond to ensure a seamless experience, turning a minor hiccup into an opportunity to showcase true hospitality. She was professional, patient, and truly dedicated to guest satisfaction.

After seeing some of the negative reviews I was sceptical about trying this place but thought why not, I was very pleasantly surprised! Staff was very welcoming and always asked if you needed anything and the food was good! Couldn't fault it at all. We got a seat straight away but maybe we just dropped on as it was an early flight?

Liked the food choices- plenty of options, especially for vegetarians. Service was attentive with empty food being replenished in good time!
Also enough seats (I was there Sunday afternoon).
No loos specifically for lounge members, you have to go and use the airport toilets just around the corner.
Overall was happy to grab a bite to eat and relax before my flight back to Amsterdam
I feel the family and I were quite lucky as the airport was very busy yet the Lounge was surprisingly quiet on a Monday afternoon.
Even more fortunate was the fact that they had a rather excellent chick pea curry on. The family had different choices and everyone was happy including our 19 month granddaughter.
Whether it's worth the money is debatable but I could say that about Wetherspoon, if you could get a seat in there.
I also noticed that one table had been reserved, I wish I knew how that's achieved.
A further departure board and their own toilets would be useful.
The staff were excellent.
Nice place to relax or work away from the overcrowded departures lounge. Decent food options of curry, pasta, salad and a nice scone with clotted cream. Staff friendly. Recommend booking in advance as walk in availability is not always possible.
For roughly £40 a head this is a bargain - make the most of getting there 3 hours before your flight and enjoy all the food and drink you want included in the price! Nice views over the runway and lots of power points to charge devices. Good value imo!
