Walked about half an hour to visit this fish and chip shop after my local has gone bad and it was SO WORTH IT! Great fish and chips! Fantastic customer service! Excuse my photo - tucked in the minute I got home but had to share the size of the fish and quality!! Would recommend eating straight away rather than walking back home so that it’s SUPER FRESH but still so good. Very happy customer and I’ll be visiting again.

Fish and chips is always good and the service from the staff is good. I have used the service for a number of years ,because of the road work,there is no way for anyone to park your car and also the traffic is very bad at times

My favourite chip shop in Dodds lane was closed, I came across city fryer which has now become my first choice chip shop. Fish cooked to order nice and fresh, friendly staff and a fair price.

Lovely fresh fish and chips hot and tasty and great service Enough for two as a quick snack and plenty for one person for 5 pound cheap as chips but quality food and clean place and friendly helpful staff also takes cards as well as cash handy place near hospital and shops

I had a fast visit here today. Never heard of it before and its never come up on my searches before either. First went in and the queue was out the door and service was terribly slow so went back 30 mins later and the queue had gone. This place seems like a little gem. Possibly Greek/Cypriot owner. Not sure. It has seating inside and was nice and clean and bright. I bought a cone of chips this time just to try and they were really rather good. Shop was very busy with people and that was good to see. Food all looked fresh and with a busy shop there will be a high turnover. A mini fish and chips is £5 at the time of review and the fish looked anything but mini so i will be returning again this month to sample one. Will follow this review up and hope to expand it to a 5* once I’ve sampled the fish and a potato scallop. Yum.
