This was the first restaurant I visited in Birmingham.  Loved the food. Full of flavour. Went here with a couple of my mates. Couldn't try everything. There is so many items in the menu. Friendly staff and good service. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried here. For the portion of food the price is well balanced. It felt like authentic Indian food. I really enjoyed. I would visit again the next time I come to Birmingham. Thank you.

The food at 1580 was delicious! Well balanced spices and food that's full of flavour. The waitresses and owner are also very accommodating! -We had the kesar paneer Tikka ( saffron paneer Tikka) - very different and tasty alternative to the usual paneer Tikka you find. -Tandoori mushrooms -The veg Momo's ( a popular dish here) -Veg chowmein If you are in Birmingham, I would recommend this hidden gem!

I've been going to 1580 restaurant for just over 3 years now. The food is absolutely out of this world, the complexity of spices with their on the bone curries will blow you're mind, not to forget the vegan options are vast and varied and very delicious. I recommend the Samoa chatt, on the bone mutton, venison and butter naan bread. Lets not forget that little toffee pudding they do 🤤

We went there for a family birthday and they made it special by going the extra mile with service and really looking after us. Staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and generous portions. Highly recommend and we shall be returning.

1580 launched their new menu on 19th of June and we tried: •vegan samosa chat •chaat bomb •bombay chilli chicken •bhutwa - lamb intestine, liver, kidney, heart & stomach •khasi ko jhol - mutton •murgh makhani - butter chicken •achari baigan - aubergine curry •double tadka daal •gulab jamun All of dishes were sublime, packed with authentic flavours and high quality ingredients. They tasted really ‘clean’ as we like to describe it; not marred by too much grease or heavy handed seasoning. We were particularly fond of the controversial dish on the menu: bhutwa. It was so delicious and the cooking process meant that it didn’t look like offal or have the texture you might expect. We would order this again and encourage you to give this a try. We couldn’t get enough of all the dishes really, but the vegan samosa chat and khasi ko jhol where really to our liking. We love seeing mutton making more of an appearance on menus lately 🤤 There is a wonderful ambience in the restaurant, the staff are really helpful, and they have a well stocked bar including a range of original cocktails. You really should give 1580 a visit. We’d suggest getting the train if that’s an option (Chester Rd) so you can take advantage of the 2 for £10 cocktails offer 👏🏽

First time here. Delicious food that's freshly prepared (and hence a bit of waiting) and presented. Very helpful staff. Especially liked the 1580 lamb curry. Some attention to details (like keeping the Henry out of sight :)) and better advertisement will attract much more customers that they richly deserve.

Great little curry house with good selection of dishes that are beyond the usual curry house dishes. We went on Sunday evening and first ordered with this some poppadoms with their chutney selection, the onion cucumber bowl was clearly fresh made as was crunchy. Then saw that they have the thali dish as option for Sunday and Thurs so we ordered one each, this fantastic option you get main along with rice bread, daal, aubergine and potato dish, chutney and sweet. I ordered the nanas lamb ghost, this was excellent well cooked tender lamb on the bone with well spiced gravy. To drink had the IPA, they have a good collaboration with local brewery, trinity beer.

Lovely authentic fresh Indian food...family run by a lovely Nepali family. Really enjoyed the mushroom tikka and the hand made momos with authentic Nepali spices. Thanks! We will be back again.
