One of the best dosa I've had ever... Taste.. Portion.. Service... Every thing spot on.
Been to Chennai many times & had Dosa there the Dosa at your place was amazing even my wife who is a Chennaite loved it, chutneys were nice & idli's too staff nice & friendly will be going again highly recommended
The best place for South Indian tiffin in Birmingham, without a doubt. I have had a few visits and the food quality has been consistent. Interestingly, they serve the longest dosa in Europe, which is called the Chennai Dosa special. You should not miss it. Bit pricey but the food quality justifies it. Recommended!
A very simple place with good South Indian cuisine. Extremely easy on the pocket, but great value for money. The dosa, idli and medu wada were all great. I don't recommend the kulfi though. The chutneys and sambhar served with all the dishes were incredible.
The place is very hygienic and well maintained. Service is prompt and courteous, with a very cool device on each table that summons the staff.
A very pleasant experience without compromising my budget.
Excellent food...the Gobi65, the Medu Vada, and the Plain Rava Dosa...the chutney and sambar fantastic....all authentic Indian...just loved every bit of food....recommend this place anyone visiting Edgbaston or Birmingham..
Loved the dosas there..
You will feel the south indian touch, when you enter the place. And the taste will also reflect it. If you are a britisher, it will be the best place to taste something different.
The only drawback in the restaurant is it tastes forever to get the ordered food.

Absolutely wonderful. A meal for two consisting of a shared starter, main dish, chapati and drinks came to £13.30. Good, authentic South Indian food.
A real taste of Indian Dosa's. The quality, the serving style, the staff, the food, all Indian & the prices are way reasonable. Each and every dosa here can remind you of India or at least give a taste of India to people from other countries. Don't miss the kulfi Ice cream its worth the money.
Chennai Dosa - Well I can never forget my experience here. Visited this place on 5th January, 2011 to celebrate 2 of my friend's birthdays. They love South Indian food and this was a perfect place to celebrate.
We were so happy and excited to know about this restaurant. We did not even mind to wait for an hour out in the freezing weather. Food was delicious.. at that moment it was like heaven for all of us. We had spent almost 3 hours only hogging.. one can imagine how much we have enjoyed then.
The place was pretty small, very minimal place to walk. But who cares when it comes to food. We relished and enjoyed each and every item that we had ordered, from idli's dosa's meals.. and many more things which I don't remember exactly now.
Overall, we had a great time there. I will surely revisit this place sometime and enjoy the old loving memories.
Typical Indian Restaurant..Happy to see Dosa and Indian foods..
Quantity: Good
Quality: Okay
Price: Reasonable
Ambience: Typical Indian Style
Highlight: Chicken Fry n Gravy
Excellent food all the dosas are superb and genuine. Have never tried the non-veg but you go there for dosa idli utthapama
right? Pity that upma is not available on weekdays but .....! And more of a pity that they have stopped delivering and even takeaways,,,,, but their food, delivery, and prices are unbeatable.
Thought the food is same as the chennai dosa's in london and manchester the ambience of this place is very good. I would say after the reading branch of chennai dosa this is most clean one.
You won't find just desi's coming here they crowd is a mix of polish and asian people which I think is a good sign. I have mostly had their non-veg which I just love!!! I wish they would have some decent desert with the buffet. Good service and food to match that.

This place is great! atmosphere is chill and cool. Top notch food. The staff was helpful, even though there will be room for improvent on service side.
Great place to hangout at an affordable price.
The restaurant accept CASH only. There is a cash point nearby but be prepared.
Restaurant timing also varied based on the day of the week.
Saturday and Sunday they open early at 10 am, other days only at 12pm.
Me and my friend were really craving for some masala dosa. And i ended up finding this wonderful place. Just loved the authentic masala dosa. We even went on a 2nd trip with more friends the same day. Would recommend any1 who wishes to eat indian authentic food. Just one regret i have is that kothu porotta got over and we couldn't order it🤧. Still will visit again soon😍
Chennai Dosa Birmingham stands out as one of the pioneering South Indian restaurants in the area. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment, as they offer a diverse range of delectable dishes. The menu is extensive, boasting a wide variety of flavors that are guaranteed to satisfy one's palate. In addition, their pricing is commendably reasonable, ensuring that customers receive excellent value for their dining experience.

Quite tidy and welcoming little gem very family friendly and for larger groups. The server seemed happy to help although there was a bit of a language barrier so half of the times we had to translate for her, not a big deal as she was absolutely lovely!
The food? Where do I start? Absolutely brilliant. Fresh, flavoured to perfection, crispy, sweet, spicy,.. I could go on for ages. Absolutely amazing I’m not usually lost of words but this time I definitely am.
The only down bit was the hour wait and the food didn’t come all at the same time unfortunately. They seemed to focus more on delivery than our food at one point.
Overall very enjoyable and delicious!
I must say it’s one of hidden gem In Birmingham. If you are really up to a typical South Indian and Tamilnadu cuisine, Chennai Dosa is the best option. We have tried so many restaurants in and around UK, this one definitely you must try.
We ordered , Idly and Vada, Ghee Roast, chicken Kothu Parotta, chicken Chettinadu Curry and parrota. All of the food was really good.
The chef made it everything right and I must say he is very professional and use the ingredients all right to match the Tamilnadu cuisine.
After seeing everyone was trying their Briyani, Bucket Briyani we made a takeaway, I must say it’s a must try.
Chef name was Prakash and he is from Trichy , and the service staff was really good. He made it easy for us order.
Such a Beautiful Restaurant, great tasty Food and Lassi was so nice, the service was good also, thank you to Chennai Dosa Birmingham.
Chennai Dosa is a haven for South Indian food lovers, offering a delightful selection of dosas, idlis, vadas, and more. The flavors are authentic, the dosas are a standout, and the service is attentive. If you're in the mood for a satisfying and flavorful South Indian meal, Chennai Dosa is a fantastic choice. I really liked the special masala dosa, then the Mutton Dum Biriyani, etc.
Amazing food great prices very affordable
I came all the way from leeds and i am sure i will come back
Asif was amazing server,great recommendations
And very helpful
Thank you team chennai dosa❤️
First time here. We ordered a starter can't remember the name now. Masala dosa and masala chicken the non vegetarian option was very nice. The dosa's were big and the sauces perfectly complimented the taste together. Took a Masala Dosa takeaway back for the family. A must try. Will visit again to try their biryani next time. However, we were attended by staff, good service but need improvement.
I have tried Masala Dosa elsewhere in Borough Market in London, their Masala Dosa was 10/10 it is different than the usual, was looking for something like that in Birmingham.
Food is less spicy but the taste is good.
I understand some are frustrated with the waiting time, I have been twice and there was not more than 20mins wait time.
They have more crowd and less staff which makes the service delay and another thing only cash is accepted no cards. If these 2 can be changed it would be a great place.
