Went here for breakfast, and it was fantastic! Huge portion, delicious food, and great service. So glad we went here, and I can’t wait until we go back.
Bogue’s has the best breakfast in Birmingham! Nothing fancy, just well-prepared eggs and bacon/sausage, blueberry pancakes, and great coffee.
We have eaten here occasionally over the years but found it had recently moved. We find it still a classic for us. We had breakfast with my husband had the gravy biscuit platter with eggs and crisp bacon. I had the ham & mushroom omelet with hash browns. We splurged and had their world famous orange cinnamon rolls/biscuits. They were heavenly and we even took six more home to eat. Service was great and our waitress was very attentive as I had eye surgery that morning and was super hungry. We are never disappointed with Bogue's! A charming jewel in Birmingham's restaurant scene for years!
Small breakfast place with excellent food. They have have your traditional breakfast options at an affordable price. The portions were large and the biscuits were devine. It seems like there was only one waitress working her but off for the whole restaurant.

I love calling in Togo orders for breakfast! If u got a man who can eat get the o-lineman special he will get full. Their breakfast reminds me of my grandfathers cooking but would suggest to them to get a phone that they can hear on.
I love bogues I've been coming for about 18 years. I do miss the old building. Hashbrowns are amazing as are the pancakes.
Birmingham institution. Mom and I had breakfast here a couple of weeks ago and it was just as good as I remember from when I lived in Southside and ate here on a fairly regular basis. I've had breakfast here many times but had lunch for the first time today. It's cafeteria style. The meats are okay. With the exception of the green beans, which taste like the came straight from the can, the veggies were great--far better than average. The servers behind the line are friendly and the waitresses manning the tables are equally friendly and quick with a refill. Bogues is a nice little eatery.
Oh yes! Great pancakes, real smoked sausage, and Ella make this place my first option for breakfast.
Best coffee in the "Ham", best breakfast in the "Ham", get the Linebacker breakfast plate and you won't go hungry!! Can't say enough good things about Bogue's. Eat here before you die!!
Bogue's is awesome!. Just like an old friend. Ms. Martha's breakfast is tasty and consistently perfect. Ella and Kelly are wonderful servers as always. We love it.

Best fried catfish in the state of Alabama. I would have to drive to a restaurant in Louisiana to have catfish this good. The sweet tea & vegetables are great as they should be. They tie with 1 other popular place as my favorite meat & 3 in the Birmingham area. When ordering bread, the sweet bread is dessert in itself. I had read some bad reviews on customer service. My family went in there 15 minutes before they closed & they were super nice. This is the best meal I have had in a while.
It was easy to find and had plenty of parking. The staff is sweet and country in nature. The crowd seemed more retired and middle-aged.
I got the Yankee Omlette with grits and toast and it was better quality than Waffle House. Would go again for a quiet breakfast.
Stopped in for breakfast one cold morning while visiting family in the area, and absolutely fell in love with Bogue's! Simple menu but excellent food... and wow, those amazing sweet rolls from Ella!!

Best breakfast in Birmingham, hands down. It reminds me of breakfast at my Great Aunt Mabel’s house when I was a kid. Plus, everyone who works here is a character.

Great place to have breakfast, good price, service was a little slow but it probably was because they were super busy. I liked that I asked for as large OJ and they brought me a large OJ no joke, this cup was probably a 20oz , normally when I ask for a large OJ I always get a 10 or 12oz whatever I go and I have to ask for 1 or 2 more glasses, but not here.
If you are just passing through Birmingham, this is a MUST STOP BREAKFAST SHOP! If you live in Bham, you already know! Get some grits. Pancakes. An omelette. Order anything. You won’t be disappointed. Go early and often!!
Basic southern meat and 2 or 3 restaurant. I had the country fried steak that was good but a little under seasoned. My wife had the chicken and dumplings that she really enjoyed. The vegetables that we had (turnip greens, blackeyed peas, and squash casserole) were verging on excellent, prepared like my grandmother would have.
A great breakfast with a at home feel . Them french toast are seasoned perfect. Excellent hospitality ..I loved our waitress she had a big sense of humor & was very pleasant..Thank you guys . We will be back 🥞😇
This place is great! My first visit, the food was fresh and hot, and the service was wonderful! Not the cheapest breakfast in town, but certainly one of the best.
What an amazing place. I got the Linebacker and cleared the plate. This is as close to home style cooking as you can get without being home. This is a must stop for breakfast if you are traveling.
