Had a wonderful birthday meal at Tropea. First time I've visited and I can see why its tricky to get a table! On paper the food is unfussy but oh my goodness the taste is incredible. Every single thing we ordered was divine and not a crumb was left. Cocktails are excellent too! Service and atmosphere were relaxed and friendly and it was a delightful experience. They also highlight special occasions which is a nice touch. 100% will go back.

A brilliant restaurant with top-notch food and charming service. I've been lucky enough to have been taken here a couple of times now, and each visit has left me highly impressed. The food has been delicious - well presented, high quality ingredients and excellent cooking. Drinks have also been very good, with a nice selection of cocktails and a short but solid wine list. The team working here are friendly, and clearly know what they're doing.

Come with high expectations as it just got the Michelin recommendation this year and it seems fully booked most of time. Managed to get a Friday early evening spot. Unfortunately I don’t think it live up to my expectation. Nice and cosy environment but nothing give you a hint of Italian vibe (not really a problem tbh) Staff are very nice and helpful, explaining the menu and food very well. But the food quality is a let down. Food are decent but I won’t say it is outstanding. The only dish I enjoy was the courgette flower. Sea bass crudo is a bit bland. Ham with melon - melon is sweet and juicy. Lobster risotto is a bit over seasoned with lacking lobster flavour for the lobster itself. Steak is not bad to be fair, cooked nicely with a bit of charcoal flavour but it didn’t taste meaty. Aubergine is under seasoned which I can only taste tomato sauce rather than aubergine. Another problem that night was our mains were served 30min after we finished my risotto which is a bit too long. Food portion is on the small side (staff has mentioned at the beginning) so the overall cost of the meal is not low. Paying this price, I would be expecting a better quality. Tropea is definitely a good restaurant but probably just not a excellent one particularly for the value.

It was a very good dining experience. The advance booking informed us that we were going to celebrate Chinese Valentine's Day and prepared an exclusive menu for us. In the end, we also gave us desserts to celebrate, a very satisfying meal

We loved our visit to Tropea. The food was fantastic and transported us to Italy. The staff were friendly and had printed menus with happy anniversary on top for us. Brilliant restaurant, we can't wait to return!

Me and my partner dine in for dinner night, we like to try authentic Italian food as we are Italian and i can assure this was properly made Italian dishes, really pleased to see the vitello tonnato on the menu and that it actually tasted like back home. We started with two cocktails that they were good, in my taste I didn't enjoyed the Olive Martini as it was quite too alcoholic, but that's just my taste. We ordered Nero D'Avola that was really rich and rounded (i loved it), but my partner suggestion is that a £40 wine should have the cork, but again that's just our personal opinion🙂 Started with the goat cheese courgette that they where AMAZING, you need to try them, followed by two pasta also very good, fresh ingredients and again we felt like we were eating at our Nonna house ❤️ as main we shared the pork that it was incredibly well cooked and tasty and to finish Tiramisu, that it was fantastic and fresh as made at home. As a personal feedback we would have liked to have the focaccia/bread to be offered as an entrée, as is really traditional in the restaurants in Italy. I Really suggest this restaurant we will be back to try other dishes(can't wait!) Service was really friendly and professional at the same time, loved the girl that was explaining all the dishes. Thanks!

Specialising in Italian sharing plates. Continental brasserie atmosphere, very pleasant. Knowledgable, attentive and friendly staff. The sharing plates allow you to try many dishes with half portions available. We chose one dish each to share from the anti-pasti, pasta and meat sections. Each course is then served in order. Food was next level Italian, fresh, seasonal, it all looked delicious and tasted even better. One of our new faves in this big city. So happy to have discovered this gem from the Michelin app.

Absolutely incredible food, atmosphere and super attentive staff. We had a beautiful meal and I loved having the menu explained to us before ordering. The experience of trying lots of different dishes was music to my ears and meant that I felt I didn't miss out on anything. Each mouthful had me swaying with happiness. The tiramisu was the size of my face and was the tastiest I'd tried - even beat a tiramisu in sorrento! Incredible experience and an incredible team. 100% recommend and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks all!
