Review The Fruit & Flower Basket And Strickoe's Deli - Bishops Lydeard

I discovered the Farm Shop shortly after moving to the area and now use it almost exclusively for all my food shopping. I love the variety of items at the deli counter and think their cooked meats are superior to other farm shops in the area. Their homemade cakes tempt me despite the fact I don't have a sweet tooth - especially the homemade cheesecake! A lovely group of staff and overall a very pleasant experience each visit. My only regret now is that I'm moving away from the area and may have to arrange delivery of food parcels!

Excellent range of all sorts of food produce - dry goods, dairy and a varied cheese counter. Big range of homemade produce - large meaty scotch eggs, pies, cakes and tray baked goods - all in generous and proper grown up portions (prices are commensurate of course). Bread pudding was a bit wet and flabby last time I had it, but apple and sultana cake is really excellect and flavoursome and recommended. A fair range of fresh fruit and vegetables available as well. Many are locally produced where possible and are seasonal. There is no fresh meat counter, but there is a tasty range of cooked beef, hams, pork, turkey etc. Locally produced ice creams, frozen home made meals available. Beer and wine also sold, but I am disappointed at poor cider selection - used to sell Sheppy's but no more. Would be good to see a local cider on sale. Fresh flowers according to season. Staff all friendly and will find out for you where a particular item is grown/produced etc if you ask. An excellent place to get your fresh produce and home baked goods from. Love it. xx

What a tremendous service the Fruit and Flower Basket is providing to the local community with their deliveries of fruit and vegetables and dairy produce etc etc during the current lockdown. Fast, efficient and great quality produce. Thank you so much to everyone working so hard to keep us supplied with fresh food.

Ann and Phil and their team served us a delicious lunch at our recent Ash Priors Village Lunch. A range of cold meats (I strongly recommend the superbly presented and wonderfully tasty cold salmon), salads and sweets and cheeses. A memorable event.

Thanks to Ann & Phil for a great Lunch yesterday at the Ash Priors Annual Garden Lunch. Really lovely food well presented and served in a very professional manner, by Phil, Ann Emily and Laura. We are looking forward to our Italian Evening in October , at which they are also catering for us.

Thank you to the fruit basket who catered for an outdoor/garden lunch in Ash Priors yesterday; there was beautifully presented whole salmon, ham and turkey, plus a variety of salads, followed by tasty desserts.

A great selection of local meat, cheeses, fruit and vegetables. Also really handy for the everyday essentials such as milk and bread. Accepts card and contactless payments as well which is always helpful when I don't have any cash.
