Lovely food, very fast service on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon. We arrived early, but were seated immediately, in fact, we were eating within 15 minutes of our seating time.
We accidentally over tipped the waitress, and she didn't hesitate to come back to query us, so very honest.
We will return.
Easily the best all round pub in Bishop's Stortford. Always get treated well, the food is always spot on and they cater to every kind punter!
Along with great staff and an extremely friendly environment, you can't go wrong!
Lovely lovely place. Good food, kind and efficient staff, welcoming atmosphere, reasonable prices. We dropped by en route Suffolk to Kent, avoiding service stations. One burger, steak and ale pie, and kids fish fingers later we were nicely satisfied with quality and quantity. Onto the puddings...delicious! Our waitress was lovely and very welcoming, engaging with our 3 year and 2 month old alike. The whole thing made us feel a lot more relaxed on our journey and service was prompt.
I haven't eaten anything but a dessert here, so can't comment on food too much. But other people have said food is amazing. Especially the chicken. But service is great and the atmosphere is good too. I went to the quiz night there, every last Wednesday of the month. Good fun, and all for charity.
Food was delicious, asked the serving staff to compliment the chef and he went to the liberty to introduce himself before we left. The chef's name was Zak and it was clear after the brief chat we had with him that quality cooking and attention to detail are of the utmost importance to him. Excellent quality of food, good service and a decent atmosphere in the pub. Thank you to all of the Nags Head team for making our meal so pleasant and enjoyable and once again a special mention to Zak the chef.
The food here is excellent. I visited with family twice and a close friend, and everything was great.
Great service, friendly and helpful. They didn't have what I originally wanted (the plant based burger), the only other veggie option wasn't for me. Had the fish and chips instead. Very tasty. Clean toilets
Came in for a quick bite to eat during our first visit in bishops Stortford.
What a pleasant, euphoric and enjoyable experience! We ordered the classic cheeseburger with a side of fries. The food was absolutely outstanding, the staff were warm and welcoming and made the over all experience one that I will definitely be looking to repeat. A special thank you to Neil who made our meal here one to remember.

Starter was nice from buffalo wings, squid, chicken gojons.
8oz Steak was beautiful cooked medium raw and steak ale pie was lovely maybe a dash of more Ale,
sea bass was definitely the favourite.
Beer batted Fish N chips was great
The kids fish N Chip was perfect.
The chocolate brownies was lovely and sticky toffee pudding. Was lovely
