Absolutely great, I love this place as it is just round the corner from where I live it’s cheap, amazing food, easy and definitely enjoyable, I rate it and suggest you should go if you want a good fish and chips on a Friday night 🤌

As a Thornaby lad, I do miss the Spitfire. I met my wife there in the 80’s.
Paul’s on the other hand is a great Chippy. It’s always clean, decent parking and staff are canny. The Parmos are huge, fish a decent size and chips are huge portion.
Telephone ordering doesn’t really save any time, you still queue to get your order, and it’s never been ready to collect. We’ve even had to wait while the cook some fish.
The chips can be a little under cooked, but there’s masses of them.
Price rises are common everywhere, Paul’s is no exception.
Definitely the best Chippy around this area. Probably have to go to Saltburn for a better one.

OMG - Actually can't believe I'm doing my first review on Paul's! I've been here numerous times and it has never failed! I have never once been dissapointed! The parmo is the best parmo you are guaranteed to try (especially if you love bech and cheese!!) The garlic sauce is gorgeous, actual garlic sauce made properly tasting like actual garlic, so yes it has a kick but only the best! The chips are beautiful also! They don't do delivery but collection is 100% worth it! The size of your parmo might also knock you off your feet!! Half parmo would feed 4 easy with chips n said and full parmo well I'll say no more, let you see for yourself!! Worth every penny! 😍 Enjoy!

This takeaway in Thornaby, is in my opinion easily the best fish bar in Teesside. The portions are of a decent size and value for money, the fish may not be Cod, but it certainly is a very good white fish, staff are very friendly and there is not much waiting for your food.

WOW! I heard good things about the parmo here so thought I would give it a whirl and they did not disappoint! Massive portion, great value and incredibly tasty! Definitely the best I've had from a takeaway. Cheers guys 😊😊

We've had parmos, fish and chips and Pizzas from here regularly. There is none of the cross-over issues you sometimes get with places like this. The Pizza tastes like it's from a pizza shop the Fish tastes like it's from a fish shop! Exactly what you want. All the servings are very generous. Minimum wait and great value. The place is always well staffed and spotlessly clean.

Called in today for tea for me and hubby
(20th April) . Excellent. Large chunky fish done in crispy batter , excellent patties and large portion of chops. Friendly service. What more can you ask x
