We had 2 Sunday lunches; the lamb was a bit overcooked but the gammon was delicious. Had 2 beers and 2 ciders, plus a side of garlic bread. Feels quite expensive at £54.
All the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly.

Poor Service, Overpriced Wetherspoons
I'm writing a review as this restaurant is misleadingly using the reviews previously from the Oyster and Otter which give a better view of the restaurant than I experienced.
The service is poor, when you actually get service with that in mind. The restaurant operates a Wetherspoons style system...to order at the bar (they even have ridiculous pieces of paper to write your order on, almost trying to be an Argos style eatery - don't bother with these, the staff don't even read them and ask you to read the order out, pointless). On to my point, this system wouldn't be awful as it works so well for Wetherspoons, but the prices don't match this.
We made a reservation, advised we would be bringing a dog. On arrival, we was not asked for our names despite advising we've made a reservation. Instead shown straight to a table which at first glance we thought how efficient. Only to be told 10 minutes later by another staff member that we can't sit where we had been sat due to having a dog.
The food was okay, certainly not warranting the prices and lack of service, a solid 5/10. I find it a shame and hope based on genuine feedback and not the falsified reviews they have on Facebook, they make adequate changes.
I would not recommend.

Lovely place.
6 of us had lunch, all different dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meal. No room for desserts as the portions are very generous.

Had the best roast dinner tonight with a lovely glass of wine. Atmosphere and staff (especially a lovely waitress called Robin) who went above and beyond to help us with an inconsolable baby so we were able to get a few minutes to eat our meal. Thank you so much. It meant a lot. Will definitely visit again soon.

Called in on Tuesday afternoon for a first time. Busy enough for week day. Lovely place with a nice decoration and very welcoming staff. Didn't bother me not to have table service but didn't like the way we had to write down our order, rather order via app its easier. The white wine was a bit warm so sent it back. Enjoyed the food, the fish needed some salt otherwise enjoyed the visit. Reading the reviews I can confirm that its not expensive at all, the prices are OK. May be people didn't realise that everything has gone up.

The food was adequately portioned and came out hot. Although I do feel it is overpriced for the service you get. You have to order at the bar, no table service. There is an app for ordering drinks and desserts but this didn't work. Also had to prompt the staff to clear the tables of empty glasses so we had room to eat. Overall a decent experience but downgraded the review to a 3 star due to having to get up to the bar.
