No Quality food, No customer service, Not taking repeat order from on table customer. Owner is a chef and categorically do not taking repeat order... Owner donot like Asian or vegetarian communities... Guest went hungry... I donot recommend this restaurant.... Even Waiters and waitress mentioned that they have enough and willing to quite this place...We don't won't to give even 1star rating they deserve BIG NO NO NO

Been to other curry restaurants in Blackpool and saw this place so thought we would try it!! Well I wish I hadn't!!!! The food was not impressive at all, the prices definitely did not match the portion size. Would not recommend this place even if you are starving and its the only place open!! You would be better off going a mile down the road to a Kebab house where you pay 3 quarters less and get a big portion of food!

Super little find. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly, helpful owner. Nice tasty, authentic food.
5 stars when alcohol licence is granted as there wasn't a great choice of drinks.

Ordered from their own website. Took order, debited my card (No option to pay cash on delivery) Then later fushion kitchen called me to inform me that the restaurant was closed and they would refund me in 5 days. So now i have paid for my food and cannot order from somewhere else as money gone from my account....takes 20 seconds to debit and 5 days to refund.....now i am starving and they have my money.....what a rip off.

Absolutely diabolical! An insult to every honest reputable restaurant. The so called meal happened “a good few hours ago”, but I have only managed to calm myself down now! To anyone that cares about dining out, and enjoys a good meal….. STAY AWAY! Being in the industry for many years, and understanding the constraints and demands out on small business owners, I honestly believe in being fair (if not being more than understanding).
We decided to have a family meal at a place we found just by searching “halal” food, Shalimar Gardens. Firstly, they advertise online very deceptively…… posing as a “Punjabi/Indian” restaurant with a twist (offering a range of burgers and grilled chicken and kebabs). When you arrive outside the first thing you notice is a “chicken/burger takeaway joint”, with a narrow passage leading to the back end of the building, where you find an “Indian style” restaurant set up. (As previous reviews state) NO WINDOWS, a horrible set of steps leading to an even worse toilet…… for those who are not sure, ‘many environmental officers’ do not agree with or allow a customer facing business such as a restaurant to not have suitable ventilation or lighting (daylight)! There was a single customer that was dining in, on a bank holiday evening?! (Should have taken notice then!)
Anyway, sat down and spoke to the waiter, who was polite and explained he had only been there a few weeks. We went through the restaurant and asked for his advice on a few of the customer favourites and the chefs “authentic” dishes. He stated that the Chef was from a well known state in Pakistan where a lot of very successful chefs have come from……… the chef here IS MOST DEFINITELY ONE OF THEM!
We ordered starters; 2x prawn puri, 1x lamb tikka and 1x 1/4 tandoori chicken. We also asked for 2 plain and 2 spicy popadoms whilst deciding our main course.
WARNING: waiter bring out 2 plain popadoms and asks us to wait 2-3 mins for spicy (99%+ restaurants have popadoms ready)… he then arrives with 2 oil soaked popadoms that were not the spicy ones, but the chef decided to sprinkle them with RAW RED CHILLI POWDER on them. My son u knowingly started to eat them, and then realised his lips were tingling and then inadvertently touched his eyes…. Rushed to wash it out, and then told the waiter, who was visibly embarrassed at what can be described as ridiculous and risky!
WARNING: 1x prawn puri arrives, 2 min later the waiter brings out “chicken tikka”…. Please note from our order above, we haven’t ordered tikka! I asked him to check his order, at which point I also asked why the portion was 6 pcs of chicken no bigger than 2cm x 2cm, he smiled and took the tikka back into the kitchen. 2 min later the lamb tikka came out…. Which looked less than the chicken tikka he had taken back! So now 10 min have passed and only 3 starters had arrived…. 4 min later the worlds “smallest” leg/thigh quarter arrived, I think however it may have come from a pigeon as I have never seen a 1/4 chicken of this size.
We thought about leaving it at that, but as it was way past dinner, we thought give them the benefit and ordered mains…. Another mistake!
WARNING: Asked waiter for his suggestions, to which he promptly picked out 3 of their “signature” dishes… which also happened to be 3 of the most expensive.
WARNING: The ShalimarTandoori Special, and I quote from their menu “feast like a Maharajah (king)!”, well u less you are a king in Lord of the Rings, King Hobbit, the disgusting sizzling plate made a grand entrance… then landed on my table…. 3 small cubes of chicken, 3 of lamb, a single shrivelled prawn and the other half to the1/4 tiny tandoori we had earlier…. All for £15.95!!! Absolute madness……. The lamb okra arrived (anyone that knows how to cook okra)….. uncooked! They had not fried it prior to mixing it with the lamb! Horrified yet…… don’t be!
WARNING: the masterpiece the arrived….. we had order “Bombay potato”, a lovely side dish to enjoy with some fresh nan bread. Having had this dish more times than I can remember, my jaw fell open….. see next post…..

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I have been to!!! If you want food at extortionate prices and you are not very hungry (portion size was ridiculously small) then by all means go!! Ordered Bhundi Gosht (meat and okra curry) and the okra looked like it wasn't cooked, the bombay aloo was the smallest portion (charging 6.50) with what looked like 1 potato cut up! We ordered Tandoori chicken but they sent out chick tikka instead. I wouldn't even rate it a 1!!!!!

Great service and quality food. Everything came hot which is a bonus when it was a group of 15 people. Food doesn't disappoint. Only downside is they don't serve alcohol which isn't a problem cause you can take your own or an off-licence just over the road if you need a drink with your meal.
