Mum's Cafe

Steve and Mick run the best traditional cafe I have ever been to. If you just want the usual fry-up, you can get it, but they also offer some less traditional cafe breakfasts, like egg hollandaise, and some salmon dishes. The food is fabulous and very good value. No artisan cafe pseudery here. Steve's cooking is great; every day he makes a range of fresh pies, slices, sauces, quiches, salad, and home made sweet goods including scones, lemon cake, coffee and walnut cake, and cherry and apple slice with cream. His home made coleslaw is definitely worth buying. They must get up at about 4am to get everything ready for the day. It's also worth noting that the cafe is spotlessly clean and well managed. You never find yourself surrounded by dirty plates and cups, no matter how busy they are. Definitely worth a visit.

Great cafe. Been working on a site across the road for 3 months so this is a regular daily visit. Always spotlessly clean. All day breakfasts and usual cafe menu are the main items but there's also hot and cold sandwiches and other main meals. Service from the two guys is always quick. 5 and 8 item breakfasts are great value. 8 item is a real gut buster. Portions are pretty generous. Seems a bit of a cut above the usual breakfast cafes but the prices are still good.

New management. i cannot fault this cafe and so glad we gave it a second chance because of new owners its absolutely amazing. They are very organised and friendly. Table service is safely undertaken by the owners PPE & politely prompted sit in diners to scan the track and trace code. The areas are well spaced and tidy too. Menu is very well laid out and they have plenty of options to suit everyone. Food is delicious and presentation is nice. We have set to sample the cakes they have but I'm sure like everything else we won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.
