Chef Ceylon

We had the whole restaurant to ourselves on a Wednesdaynight. The owner (I think the lady is the owner), is really nice. She took the time to explain the dishes and recommended a couple. I had the belly pork, for my taste it was way too salty. When I told the lady I didn't like it, she made a lovely chicken curry which I did like a lot. My partner had the lamb curry, the flavours were good. You do need a starter, because the portion sizes of the main dishes aren't that big.

We had a fantastic meal there last night. Lovely setting and service was very good. The wine was excellent and reasonably priced, the cocktails we had were also very good, would recommend the spicy margarita. There was a good choice on the menu, I had a stunning cashew curry which is described as a side dish but it was plenty combined with a few other sides. The coconut roti was absolutely delicious and the samosas were the best we've ever had. Nothing felt greasy or processed just lovely, fresh flavours, superbly cooked. The only thing I would say to improve is to double the chutney portion with the poppadoms as it was delicious but gone in a few scoops. It's a great place, we will definitely return and recommend to people.

Lovely place and staff. Food was very good quality and nice to see fish on the menu, although on this occasion I had the lamb curry; portion size was perfect for me. I felt that the menu choice was limited, although they did have other options which you are informed of on your visit and prices were about right. When we were there the gents toilet door did not lock; not a problem for me but maybe for some.
