We really liked our stay here. The rooms were a bit old-fashioned, but with comfortable beds and good en-suite facilities. Meals were excellent, as was the service from staff in every part of the hotel. The one drawback was that although the weather was nice we couldn't sit in the front alfresco area, because it was dominated by smokers (filthy habit).

Really lovey staff. Lovely food. Rooms are comfortable and we had a lovely view. Lovely and quiet during the week. There is live music at the weekends and tends to be groups of folk staying out late making noise on weekends. When we called reception about our neighbors making lots of noise they where up within a few minutes to sort it out. Highly recommend this hotel

Had a quick one night stay. There's so much I could say about this hotel.. Good and bad. Its basic and the rooms are tired. The bar staff were lovely and chatty. Food was good. Tho remember and book a table as needs reserved. Beer garden out front. Was busy. Again they have a lovely court yard around the back I wondered why there wasn't more tables out there. Parking is limited due to the location. Bed are comfy. Rooms are clean... no dogs I'm afraid... I was there for a working test competition's, and leaving my dog in a car was not my idea of fun. There was a drinks mix up and I ordered fish. And got chicken... both things were rectified and done promptly by an excellent manager. All in all for a cheep hotel I was happy and would have managed a good sleep if it wasn't for the blackbird determined to wake me up at 4am.. and finally breakfast at 8am is not really early enough.. tho there was a continental breakfast set up. I missed a full English. And I would stay again.. lovely staff .

Really enjoyed our stay at the Angus in May. The rooms were a bit dated in decor and suffered due to the extreme heat (for Scotland) but it was a very comfortable bed and good bathroom. The spa is of an excellent quality, and the staff were accommodating of our requests to take our daughter in the pool outside of the allocated swim times. The restaurant was great too, menu was a bit daunting in size but couldn't fault the food at all. Parking can be a bit difficult as it's so popular.

We have a dinner there. The service was OK. The food was tasty but the portion was a little small. Good price for the value.

Afternoon tea and evening meal: highly rate both. Service was exceptional and the food was extremely tasty, well presented and served quickly. Which was great as we were on a tight time line. The room: we opted for the cosy option but even so it was well proportioned and comfortable. A stop off for us on the way further north and will be on the shortlist again for future trips.

Very welcoming at reception. Room was comfortable. My wife never usually sleeps on a first night in a strange bed, but she did here. There has been some room renovation. Food is good here too.

Took the 3 nights, 2 meals and 3 breakfast option and was not disappointed. Enjoyed and would love to go back.

Nice hotel although parking is very limited. Swimming pool heater not working so freezing cold, steam room not working the whole weekend. Temperature of the jacuzzi was up and down, one day it was 42*C with no warning signs ! and next day it was 36*C. It should be between 37-40*C. Meals in the restaurant were quite tasty but we expected better. It was more like pub food. Prawn, coconut and lemongrass lollipops were disappointing but the filo pastry prawn in sea bass was very tasty and well presented. Although the staff were friendly and helpful, sone of them were very young and maybe not fully trained as they didn't do two things we asked for. We heard similar comments from other tables regarding the staff.

We stayed here briefly as we were around for a 60th birthday party with family. Everything was great from lovely bar staff and receptionists to the room. Breakfast was also well worth it.
