Food fresh local and of great quality, poached eggs cooked perfectly! Food and drinks came out promptly and staff friendly and chatty. Only downside parking isn’t fantastic as not many spaces also relatively small sized cafe and was busy so lucky to get a seat

Popped in for breakfast for the first time. Breakfast was very good. Nice sausages, which I feel is always an indication of how good the food is. No pigs lips here. Rest of the plate was also good nice bacon, good scrambled eggs, black pudding was so, so. Had a latte, which was surprisingly decent. Staff were friendly and polite. I would go back.

Great breakfast all fresh produce and nicely cooked. They ask how you want eggs done and the quality of food seems to be higher than lots of other places . All the extras etc here make it a very good place to eat. Nice big pots of tea not tiny pots . The staff are friendly overall very good cafe.

I visited Fed and Watered this morning after a run in the local country park with my dog and the service was excellent, food delicious and atmosphere friendly. I have visited regularly since reading in the Newcastle Chronicle that it was the top rated cafe in Gateshead and the standard of food and service has been consistently high. I am aware the local council are trying to close the cafe due to a planning dispute, I am concerned the local area will lose a wonderful asset. I would ask the council to do whatever it can to find a compromise or action the owners can take to keep this successful local business open.

Found this place on Google when looking for a local coffee place near Winlaton that we can have a little walk to (love Pumphrey's but not for sitting in). Been a few times now. Coffee and sweet treats are great and enjoy the walk there and back from Winlaton. Weirdly was told ice coffees don't get a loyalty stamp on my third visit as they're a cold drink... Got them the first 2 times and they're the same ingredients and price so.... And never found a coffee shop that's said that before (I don't drink hot drinks). Had the breakfast once. Wait was looooong but in good company so don't mind too much. Canny breakfast. I wouldn't travel out of my way for it but no conplaints quality-wise. Feel £14 is a bit steep though. I'll probably avoid the breakfasts in the future but keep coming back for coffee and scone/cake. I'll give some of the other food a go at some point too. Hopefully the loyalty stamp refusal was a one-off patter chatter. 🤞 It only takes 4 stamps (with reusable cup) at Costa for same price coffees to get a free one, and 8 stamps at Pumphrey's (their coffees are cheaper). Both doing stamps on iced coffees. 10 stamps here and only getting them on my wife's drinks is a bit meh. But they don't have to do loyalty stamps at all so... 🤷 I prefer to spend my money locally but times are also hard so need to try and save pennies where possible. Especially when treating myself 😅

Great place to meet and eat. Indoor and outdoor seating. Lovely and clean. Very friendly staff and always happy to help. The full monty Breakfast finished both myself and the husband off, with 2 of everything plus beans, either plum toms or fresh. Freshly cooked to order with 2 toast. Parking and disabled parking available, with a ramp or a couple of steps. A must visit.

Came here for a late breakfast. We had a veggie breakfast and some French toast alongside a fruit smoothie. All came to about £20 which is great value especially as you got good sized portions and it was really tasty. All the staff were really friendly and I'll definitely be back along.

Great fresh food, very filling breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Very busy, we went at lunch time and were lucky to get a table. Just what the area needs. We will be back. Fed and Watered breakfast and eggs Benedict ordered and neither of us had any complaint, first class.
