Great place, wonderful management. Always liked this place a lot, lovely atmosphere and great food. Went to a comedy dining night and they did Fawlty towers, was hilarious! Highly recommend this place even without the additional entertainment. Open fires in the winter, little garden for the summer.

Such a lovely little hotel/pub, food was excellent especially the amazing breakfast but best of all are the staff, such a lovely family so welcoming and helpful couldn’t ask for a better team and can’t thank them enough!

Haven't stayed in the hotel, but visited 3 times when we've been to take one of our dogs to the referral vets outside the village (the vet recommended it as they're dog friendly). This time we took our second hound along, but for some reason he was afraid to step inside (he is a rescue so most likely something to do with his past), so we had lunch in their outside seating. Staff were lovely, trying to encourage him inside at first, but being very accommodating outside with us after. Everything was brought to us, including a bowl of fresh water for our boy, and of course lots of cuddles which put him at ease. Food was lovely, as it has been every time I've been here. Their sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Only downside is it's not closer to where I live

Fantastic good value meals and drinks. Ideal location. We've eaten a couple of times at the Whyte Harte Hotel and every time have had a wonderful meal. Edit: 29/07/2021: TWH have benches out front now, which is wonderful. Had a lovely meal and drinks. Service was excellent

Lovely place with ancient charms nicely updated. Rooms are cheap and cheerful- no pretense but showers are new. Everyhting is kept very clean. Rates are more than reasonable and breakfast included is excellent. Staff are very helpful and nice, owner is also very nice. Pub is great but does close early depending on business. Has a decent dartboard as well.

I visited the Whyte Harte with 3 of my friends. I had been referred there by a friend a while ago, yet had not had the opportunity to go until last week. There is a large bar area and a separate restaurant area. The place has a real homely feel to it, with candles everywhere and lots of fresh flowers. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was the best we have all had in a long time, and the desserts were even better. Prices are reasonable and we even had a cocktail in the garden before our meal. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great evening.

Close to Gatwick airport. Pub with hotel, car park at rear and on street parking. Dog friendly. Friendly, efficient staff. The evening meal and breakfast were very good and a reasonable price. Our room was on the small size but fine for one night with the dog. The decor was "tired" but everything was clean and tidy. It is an old building and the pub has a lot of character, fairly busy and with a good atmosphere. We will use again.

Second visit, usually return is not the same however could not fault it...excellent ,meal worth every penny. Friendly staff behind the bar and restaurant. BEST steak i have ever had. Menu has lots of variety. They have a lovely beer garden for the summer and a great huge fire for the winter. They also do lots of different cocktails, the berry sour martini was to die for. I think we have found a new favorite for us

Second time we have stayed here. . Its a place with a lot of character. Not a wall or ceiling is straight. . The room furniture is or was shabby chic. Sadly now its a bit shabby. Could do with a bit of TLC. Staff are great and the breakfast, second to none. My favourite beer was off London Pride but we still enjoyed the stay. . Ps. . So did the furry kids Jake and Carly our Jack Russells. 😉

Excellent restaurant that delivers what many gastro-pubs promise but few deliver. Really interesting menu with obviously high quality ingredients and cooked to an amazing standard. Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. Only fly in the ointment is the new recipe for their chips which has seen them slide from the best chips ever tasted ever, to merely very good.

We stayed in one of the rooms here recently to attend a friend's wedding nearby, and we really enjoyed our stay at The Whyte Harte! Very friendly landlord who was extremely accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we were looked after. The pub's got a great deal of history to it too. The breakfast was great the next morning!

Great price, historic inn, rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside was we had to be at Gatwick at 9:00am and breakfast started at 8:30, but they did make us a sandwich.

This delightful gastro pub is warm and inviting. We have had the pleasure of dining there a few times and the food has always been top class. The King Prawn starter my partner has was excellent and my Salt and Pepper Squid quite melt in the mouth. For the mains we had steak done to perfection and Sea Bream which was both delicate and tasty. The wasabi mash is awesome and all the sides were tasty and beautifully presented. On all our visits the service has been good and the staff friendly. I can highly recommend the Whyte and will definitely return there every time I am in the area.

The room I was in was a double room and my sister was in the double Dulux room. There is definitely a different here, both beds seem as comfortable, but, the big difference is the bathroom and how spacious the rooms are. With the wifi my room it keeps coming and going and with my sister room it seems stable. Food menu on the internet is not consistent with what's at the pub. The pub has a nice local traditional feel to it.
