Great place, wonderful management. Always liked this place a lot, lovely atmosphere and great food. Went to a comedy dining night and they did Fawlty towers, was hilarious! Highly recommend this place even without the additional entertainment. Open fires in the winter, little garden for the summer.

Such a lovely little hotel/pub, food was excellent especially the amazing breakfast but best of all are the staff, such a lovely family so welcoming and helpful couldn’t ask for a better team and can’t thank them enough!
Loved it. Sunday lunch was a delight in really special surroundings with attentive but discreet staff.
Good to see the old place open again.
And meet up with friends.
Not staying overnight.
Sunday Roast
We booked a table at the venue a few days ago for a Sunday lunch. Warm welcome on entry and shown to our table by a lovely member of staff. Drinks ordered and they came quickly. Very helpful with my dietary requirements.. The food was very good and the staff were really friendly and v helpful. We will definitely be going back.
Fantastic good value meals and drinks. Ideal location. We've eaten a couple of times at the Whyte Harte Hotel and every time have had a wonderful meal. Edit: 29/07/2021: TWH have benches out front now, which is wonderful. Had a lovely meal and drinks. Service was excellent
Lovely place with ancient charms nicely updated. Rooms are cheap and cheerful- no pretense but showers are new. Everyhting is kept very clean. Rates are more than reasonable and breakfast included is excellent. Staff are very helpful and nice, owner is also very nice. Pub is great but does close early depending on business. Has a decent dartboard as well.
I visited the Whyte Harte with 3 of my friends. I had been referred there by a friend a while ago, yet had not had the opportunity to go until last week. There is a large bar area and a separate restaurant area. The place has a real homely feel to it, with candles everywhere and lots of fresh flowers. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was the best we have all had in a long time, and the desserts were even better. Prices are reasonable and we even had a cocktail in the garden before our meal. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great evening.
Close to Gatwick airport. Pub with hotel, car park at rear and on street parking. Dog friendly. Friendly, efficient staff. The evening meal and breakfast were very good and a reasonable price. Our room was on the small size but fine for one night with the dog. The decor was "tired" but everything was clean and tidy. It is an old building and the pub has a lot of character, fairly busy and with a good atmosphere. We will use again.
Second visit, usually return is not the same however could not fault it...excellent ,meal worth every penny. Friendly staff behind the bar and restaurant.
BEST steak i have ever had. Menu has lots of variety. They have a lovely beer garden for the summer and a great huge fire for the winter. They also do lots of different cocktails, the berry sour martini was to die for. I think we have found a new favorite for us
Second time we have stayed here. . Its a place with a lot of character. Not a wall or ceiling is straight. . The room furniture is or was shabby chic. Sadly now its a bit shabby. Could do with a bit of TLC. Staff are great and the breakfast, second to none. My favourite beer was off London Pride but we still enjoyed the stay. .
Ps. . So did the furry kids Jake and Carly our Jack Russells. 😉
Excellent restaurant that delivers what many gastro-pubs promise but few deliver. Really interesting menu with obviously high quality ingredients and cooked to an amazing standard. Staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. Only fly in the ointment is the new recipe for their chips which has seen them slide from the best chips ever tasted ever, to merely very good.
