Lovely place with a huge terrace and open green space for kids or pets.
The food was quick and was good. Big plates for decent prices.
Costumer services was good, waitress was really kind and helpful to answering our questions as we were a big group.

Great vegan options and huge portions (photos taken when halfway through ) Particularly loved the katsu curry chips and nice to have something different on the menu than the obligatory vegan burger and chips. We had the tofu sandwich which was lovely and served with vegan coldslaw and salad. Lovely

A very friendly pub and great location. We were able to get an outside table for 6 on a Saturday evening in August without booking. Great choice of food on the menu (order at the bar) and the waiting staff bring it to your table. Nice atmosphere too, with enough people to give it a buzz.
Second visit and not disappointed - Sunday lunch this time round, the food was fresh and tasty, the staff are very helpful and polite despite being so busy - great location (opposite Bodiam Castle) and we will definitely be back again 👍

Superb pub, we walked there having camped nearby and had a table booking for 12 people. Arrived early, table was already booked and ready. Food was excellent, service was lightning fast even though they were full and busy and we stayed as long as we wanted, no bother. Really superb on all fronts.
When you lead a pub in front of a big castle and that you are the only pub around, then you get a lot of hungry visitors and this a challenge for the organisation
