Lovely place with a huge terrace and open green space for kids or pets.
The food was quick and was good. Big plates for decent prices.
Costumer services was good, waitress was really kind and helpful to answering our questions as we were a big group.
Considering we were a big group food was quick to come.
Great vegan options and huge portions (photos taken when halfway through ) Particularly loved the katsu curry chips and nice to have something different on the menu than the obligatory vegan burger and chips. We had the tofu sandwich which was lovely and served with vegan coldslaw and salad. Lovely garden a few minutes walk from the castle. Good size children's meals so toddler was stuffed. One vegan and one vegetarian kids option.
Sunday roast. Generous portion. Very quick service . Outdoor seating available . Less than 5 mins walk from Bodiam Castle ! Great lunch options available .

Great lunch spot after a visit to Bodiam Castle just a stones throw away across the road. Lovely indoor seating as well as a large outdoor area with heaps of open garden for kids to run around! The food was spot on, a few starters and a main to share was just perfect for 2 of us! Worth a detour to grab a bite here.
Wow what a great little find. So on our way to our fiends cottage and saw this lovely pub which couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s lovely and cozy, great choice of beers, wines and Prosecco’s plus the food is amazing. I had a starter or Crispy Gyoza dumplings with chilli dipping sauce and have to say absolutely amazing. They also have a lovely dining room, my thanks to Wendy for looking after us
Well, on the face of it a lovely little British pub on the side of a small country road.
Where as in fact it’s an often very busy pub at weekends mainly due to the castle opposite and the waterway & camping nearby! We’ve stayed locally twice now and each time we do the walks, the castle and end up at the pub!
The last time we also had food, both opted for the burgers which were ok-good or 6/10. The staff always seem busy but probably down to a shortage, I bet it’s hard to recruit around these parts at the moment.
It’s got a very British feel to it, so makes it a nice place to hang out in the sunshine for a refreshing pint.

A great PUB that does good food at sensible prices.Booked a table in restaurant on strength of experience for lunch with aged parent later in month. Great alternative food venue to cafe in Bodium Castle car park. 👍
A very friendly pub and great location. We were able to get an outside table for 6 on a Saturday evening in August without booking. Great choice of food on the menu (order at the bar) and the waiting staff bring it to your table. Nice atmosphere too, with enough people to give it a buzz.
