Lovely garden area serving an array of hot food, drinks, ice creams and cakes.
We stopped for cake and hot chocolate and it was well worth the detour.
The gardens are on terraces with fruit trees and covered seating areas (the terraces could be challenging for those who are unsteady on their feet).
The Camel Trail runs at the base of the gardens and is easily accessed from there.
What a hidden gem! Parking was full so parked on the main road, guy in the cabin was really friendly and helpful. Crab salad was delicious and fresh, afternoon tea with home cooked scones jam and cream was the nicest I've tasted so far in Cornwall. Absolutely lovely setting under beautiful trees and with a little apple tree. A very peaceful and relaxed afternoon. Enjoy
Delightful tea gardens along the trail just before bodmin. Haven't been here in about 10 years, but just as good as I remember.
Cream tea consists of 2 scones, cream and jam with a pot of tea for £9.50. When did a cream tea suddenly become so expensive?
But it was worth it for the ambience of the garden, and the scones were fluffy and fresh. Definitely tasted home made, unlike the dreadful scones I bought from a bakery in Padstow.
Ploughman's lunch was very overpriced but there was plenty of it.
Friendly service. Toilet is a bit scruffy but reasonably clean.

Charming tea garden. Set on a sloping garden, shaded by trees. The tables are set individually with canopies.
Choose your table and order from the chalet hut. They will bring your order to your table.
We came for morning coffee and liked it so much that we came back for a cream tea in the afternoon.
We were honoured to be joined by a beautiful cat on both occasions. We think its resident car. Clearly it is in charge of things!

What a wonderful and welcoming sanctuary! The cream tea and coffees were incredible, but the brownies were out of this world. Highly recommend this stop on your camel trail tour.
Omg, after a 9 mile bike ride in the camel trail this was a welcome relief to stop and refuel. What a beautiful place, sitting in an orchard eating lovely food, cannot fault this place. Definitely return when back in Cornwall again, thank you 😊
They serve tea, Cornish pastry and also some light lunches. We had a lovely cream tea with some scones.
As a bonus, their toilets are nice and clean. Great place to make a stop if you're on a bike.

Visited The Camel Trail Tea Gardens today with my Sister inlaw. We all had the Cream Tea. And wow they were fantastic. Probably the best cream tea I have had. I am very fussy when I have these. I always like to have a cream tea when visiting Cornwall. I vote this one of the best if not the best because the scones were definitely homemade and came warm. There was plenty of clotted cream and lovely strawberry jam. Some places are mean with the jam and cream and the scones aren't always homemade. Not the case here. Will definitely be going back for another visit.
