This pub was a great find with outside play area for the kids. The food and staff were outstanding. Highly recommend the carvery was the best I'd ever had.
We walked down the camel trail from bodmin and arrived to a very busy and very full borough but we got a drink and decided to stay and eat but sit outside but the staff were amazing and managed to get us a lovely table within 10 minutes they were very busy and under amazing pressure but didn't let it show and were always smiling and polite "Sophie " in particular was very professional and helpful I would definitely recommend this place to eat or just pop in for a coffee or a pint we are the carvery which as always was AMAZING
Great find. First visit for us whilst on holiday. Lateish lunch/ early evening meal. Chose Mixed Grill with Jacket potato and lite Scampi.
Tribune Shandy and Appetizer to drink.
All staff we interacted with were friendly and looked after us well.
We enjoyed the old style interior which was relaxing & comfortable.
We would certainly recommend.😊
A lovely little cosy pub that is dog friendly, it even supplies dog blankets.
Not expensive but a very warm lovely English pub.
The food was nice and was the cask ale.
We will be definitely coming back
Absolutely brilliant carvery on Sunday, really welcoming and friendly staff despite the fact they were rushed off their feet. Highly recommend!
We had the rump steak, delicious, good value for money, staff were attentive even though it was busy. Nice play area for kiddies too.
Very welcoming. Friendly service. Food top quality. We passed our compliments on to the chefs. We were given space and time to enjoy our meals and never felt rushed. Likewise we weren't left hanging around to be served either. And it was quite busy.
Had lunch here and loved it. Great little pub with great food! What really made it though was our server, Alice. Very warm and friendly, and nothing was too much hassle. She made me and my wife feel very welcome. We plan to come back to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we certainly hope she’ll be there to greet us again!
I took my wife here for our anniversary and boy the food was off the scale amazing if you have not been here yet then you have not lived. And all the staff are fantastic all the way from glass collector all the was to the top boss thank you Borough Arms.
Also thank you for decorating the table for us that was above and beyond. So a big thank you to all the team there.
We went to the Borough Arms for dinner and had a lovely evening.
We took our dog along to who was given a bowl of water and some dog biscuits (which he ate quickly).
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really nice.
If we are back in the area again we will definitely pop in for food or a drink again.
Our dinner out started with an easy online booking for the 5 of us and finished with bellies satisfied and smiles on our faces.
We arrived to a busy pub, however, on arrival we were shown to our table within a couple of minutes. The high chair was already waiting at the table , which doesn’t normally happen, even when stated on booking.
At our table we had service with a smile and they were happy to help.
The food was enjoyed by the whole family, it was cooked well and the chef used good fresh ingredients.
Our children enjoyed the play area after eating our food and it was easy to watch them whilst finishing a local ale from where we were seated at our table.
Great food and really dog friendly.
This solo traveller and Reg the dig were warmly welcomed and Reg snaffled a few dog treats from the bar.
The oven baked salmon and coconut rice were just what I needed, and the blueberry and ice cream Belgian waffle was divine.
