Lovely breakfast here today, food was cooked very well and not greasy like most other places,
The seasoned potato cubes were stunning on my Dolphin Brunch along with my eggs scattered with chopped herbs and runny yolks too. 😋
Good size portion for the money.
Staff are friendly and polite.
4 stars for Atmosphere as it was very quiet but can’t imagine thats the norm as the foods so good.
I have eaten here alot over the past few years as i have been working nearby, and I can really see alot of improvement since my first visit.

Me and my husband just popped out for a bit of lunch and stumbled across this little cafe and omg what a little gem, he had a lamb roast dinner and I had the chicken & ham pie all homemade and honestly was so tasty and full of flavour, then just had to try the puddings husband had apple crumble and I had the pancakes 🥞 and I can honestly say they were the best pancakes i have ever had , the owner was so nice made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us , would definitely go out of my way to eat at this place again and higher recommend , thank you for the amazing food and service 😊
Very good! My partner and I were visiting the seaside and came here for breakfast. It was very clean and cozy in the Cafe, we both had English tea and chose our breakfast. I had scrambled eggs and beans with mushrooms and bacon. My partner had 2 eggs and bacon with beans and mushrooms. We both had bread and butter with it. The price is right on target for what we are used to paying at our regular Cafe back home. Very nice, very clean, very friendly and just all around lovely.
Great food at great prices. Have tried roast dinners, fried breakfasts and even pancakes and fruit over the last few days and loved them all. Staff are all very friendly and helpful 😁👍
Love this cafe. We’ve lived here for two years but hadn’t got around to trying the Dolphin until yesterday.
The food was excellent. I had scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms perfectly cooked - so few chefs know how to cook scrambled eggs properly, most severely overcook the egg - but this was perfect. My daughter had a massive brunch. I then had a super apple crumble and custard. Absolutely gorgeous. Very good value and quality.
Waiter and waitress very attentive. We had a lovely view of the sea and pier from our window seat.
Can’t speak more highly of the Dolphin. We will be back to try a roast.
Only slight downside is their opening hours - 8 until 3 every day - which feels early to close as we prefer going out later in the afternoon.
Try it you will love it there, too.
A lovely little gem of a cafe. Simple, no nonsense breakfast options. Delicious food, all freshly cooked to order. Friendly, helpful, approachable staff and very reasonable prices. Tables to sit and enjoy the sunshine with delicious food. So pleased we found this cafe, and was so good we went back 2 days in a row.
Really lovely breakfast for a good price, much better than the offering at Butlins we had! Lovely staff too. Would recommend!
You cant beat a cafe lunch on holiday eh, i orderd a bacon baguette and i gotta admit it was pretty tasty, bacon soft bread hot and soft (perfect).
Prices are reasonable for a tourist town.
The cafe itself is quite small but outdoor dining is avaialble. Quick service, kind staff & tasty food.
Fish and chips with garden peas, a fish finger sandwich, followed by an apple crumble with custard and ice cream, a trifle, and coffee to finish! Fast, friendly, and flavourful!
Fish and chips was amazing! Fried at perfection no greasy at all. Fries delicious.
The two ladies were super friendly. The service was fast. Tables were sanitised. I recommend this place
