Fish & Chips

I feel like this experience resembles a SAW movie...as I'm now grateful to be alive. Now I've heard of triple cooked chips but the chips this guy served me looked like they'd seen the core of the earth and by some sorcery they were cold. When asked about the quality...our Michelin star chef simply replied "that's how I cook them" and showing me a raw potato. But not to worry...he resolved this issue by cooking the same chips some more on a 1000w microwave. He gets a 5* for blank stares at customers but a 1* for food quality.

Absolutely disgusting. I popped in here today and ordered a medium portion of chips. The guy behind the counter picked up the paper mopped his sweaty forehead with it and then put my chips in the very same paper. I was shocked... took the chips and dumped them straight in the bin. What a disgusting, revolting animal does that in plain site?? What else goes on behind the scenes does not bear thinking about. To say I won't be eating there ever is an understatement. I have also reported to environmental health.

Complete rip-off. Was charged £3.00 for a much smaller portion of chips than would realistically be expected. I found them to be extremely greasy, with the majority of the serving being made up of sharp-edged straggly bits. I ended up with both a mouth ulcer and a stomach ache. Would not recommend at all.

Expensive. Dirty. Kids fish full of bones. Antibacterial spray made the table stink of chemicals (at least the table was clean, can’t say the same for the rest of the place). The girl who served us was lovely (but got the order wrong). Mushy peas from a tin and portion size was 2 tablespoons, profit margins must be very high. Realise it’s a prime location, but really. so easy to get this place right with a little effort. Such a shame. Don’t go.

Rip off and poor quality. Charged £9.40 for 2 chips and 2 drinks to take away. Queried it as soon as he asked for that much and supposedly the drinks were 1.50 each....but that still didn’t add up? So asked again and now I was told I had medium chips ? What ? I just asked for a portion he didn’t give any options. Would hate to see small chips. So 3.50 for a normal size portion of chips a complete rip off plus guess what that still didn’t add up to 9.40! The guy couldn’t care less just said no refund and id be better off cooking at home if I didn’t like it?!? Unbelievable customer service and all in front of plenty of other customers. Also the guy in front of me had cod n chips, the size of the cod was literally ridiculous I’ve seen bigger sardines and £5 for the privilege. The bloke is a con artist the place should be closed down.
