A proper backstreet pub, lots of different real ales on, bass is exceptional!! Many, many ciders! Try a cider tapas board! Great idea! Pies on sale which are good, always busy, lovely but small beer garden out back, whats not to like?

Called in with friends at opening time after a walk in the surrounding area. Friendly welcoming pub, good selection of ales and malt whisky. Bought a bag of crisps to try the food!! Very evident that the Cotton Tree was very popular even mid afternoon on a Thursday and I am not surprised. If traditional is your bag than give this place a try.

Unique in as much there's no music or slot machines. Very popular in the evenings despite is small in floor space. The landlady Jane runs a tight ship. Frequently occupied by many regulars, many friendly characters Food is limited to cold pies or crisps. Once a month, the pub hosts a Bluegrass band that plays novel often amusing music American style. It's probably the best pub in Bollington that attracts a certain clientèle. Highly recommended.
