This is a beautifully presented cafe with a lovely selection of cakes. The fruit scones were tasty, and hot chocolates were generous in size with whipped cream and marshmallows. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was very quiet when we were there but it was poor weather and quite early. I imagine it gets quite cramped inside when it's busy.
We loved this little gem of a restaurant with its stunning views of Bolton Abbey. The food is fresh and the portions were generous. The staff were cheerful and couldn't do enough. A real treat after a long walk around the Abbey. Highly recommended!
Beautiful views, nice food and friendly service.
Pretty reasonable in price too.
Prime location for views of Bolton Abbey and ruins. Nice garden seating, and serving staff very pleasant.
Enjoyed lunchtime snack and drink, before trekking down to the Abbey.
A number of tame small birds wandered around the tables, despite the presence of visiting dogs, which was a nice feature. Recommended.
We stopped for a drink at the Tea Cottage on our visit to Bolton Abbey , we walked down to back of the garden of the tea rooms ,it has lots of tables overlooking the stunning abbey and riverside
We were welcomed by Friendly Happy staff , The drinks were reasonably priced and the food look lovely , I can highly recommend this tea room for a cheeky beer coffee and cake or a nice lunch
They are also dog friendly
Lovely place! Beautiful views of the surroundings. The prices were a little on the high side but the quality of the food was really good. Had the best BLT I've had in a long while but it cost £8 🤣
Coffee was good 😊
The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed on the day we were there but we weren't waiting too long for our order.
The paths and outdoor eating area were wheelchair accessible and it appears dogs were welcome 😊
Pleasant tea room at Bolton Abbey. Great range of cakes and breakfast items. Definitely very tasty with great service as well. Could do with greater number of toilets for the number of customers. Seating area outside was very pleasant. Well worth a look.
Arrived at lunchtime after a wander around Bolton Abbey.
Got a table just before the bus trips landed. Had the most gorgeous roasted garlic and vegetable panini, with a pot of tea (it came with an additional pot of
Water) too. Mmm
Booked a table here & we were given a table upstairs on our own...which was nice as my grandson is only 2 so we didn't have to worry about him making a lot of noise or wanting to move around. The food was really nice & not massively expensive for what you got ! Service was really good & the place seemed nice & clean. Only down was there was no baby changing facilities but the helpful waitress said as no one was upstairs we could change him there. Would definitely go again!!
Nice tea room serving lunches as well. Lovely view from outside terrace. Food was good, my wife said her scone was the best she had tasted for a long time. Staff very helpful and friendly
