Amazing place. The food is always really tasty and the staff are lovely and attentive. Great black pudding starter on the menu and the Sunday roast beef is fabulous. We come here often as it's so nice and friendly. Highly recommended!
Drove past many a time but never been in and so glad we did last night. Food was gorgeous staff were really nice and friendly. We wanted somewhere that wasn't the usual ding ding fried stuff like the chains we wanted proper food and this certainly didn't disappoint. Our food choices ranged from cheese and onion pie to fish dish to steak to chicken and all was well received even from the children. We will be back.

Very busy and that says a great deal. Most people are regulars... Again this tells you a great deal of the service, food and price.

COVID measures in place but could have been handled better considering just trying to get a drink and sit outside.

They are making a great effort to get the social distancing right and getting people back in the pub. The beer was good and the food excellent. And of the weather is fine the beer garden is a great place to have lunch.

Best Fish and Chip we've had for a long time. Natter is light and fish is flaky and not dry.

Covid measures seem week thought out and managed, making the minimum impact on your experience whilst adhering to safety guidelines.
Not currently allowing dogs indoors, but you can't have everything!
Amazing Sunday lunch, good value and service was wonderful
My wife and I went last night for Valentine's Day. The food was excellent. We had a very nice bottle of red named "Dead man's dice" which went really well with my perfectly cooked venison.
The staff were superb, very attentive and efficient in what was, to be fair, a very busy service. One tiny criticism, perhaps a little background music? All in all a really enjoyable evening and worthy of five stars. Thank you.
