I enjoyed it here. Originally it was just a tiny stall in Bolton Market, and I thought it was just a shop where you primarily buy coffee beans, but now there's The Coffee Grind on Newport Street, which is a full blown coffee shop, and feels like a touch of Manchester's Northern Quarter but in Bolton. Its exposed brickwork and chunky wood furnishings work well with the tall ceilings, and a huge mirror on one end to give the illusion of more space in what is already a spacious venue. The service is friendly and professional, and it's nice that I had the option of a few different teas, as many coffee shops simply offer "tea" as well as the coffees. The coffees available sit on a big set of shelves in large kilner jars, and a chiller by the main counter shows the sandwiches and snacks available, as well as a cake stand on the counter to tempt you! Good value, and they have a loyalty card too. I'll definitely be back.

Owner is lovely, definitely appreciates coffee rather than just trying to get you to buy things. Cheaper beans than anywhere I've bought from so far, interesting selection of popular ones and some you might not see too often

Nigel is always very helpful and certainly knows his stuff. Buy beans or get him to grind to your specification. I personally love the Viennese Fig blend (wonderful) but not always available but a. Chance to try new flavours. Lovely little coffee shop in the market, Perfect Andy T Bolton

There are times when you find little gems you want to keep to yourself, and often for good reason. As a coffee lover, I've tried the grind up and down the length of the country. Like anyone, you have the "Go to" place that guarantees the quality you crave. This possibly could be one such place. Unit F11, resting in the corner of the Food court within Bolton Market. The chap there was very polite, and more importantly knows how to make SERIOUSLY good coffee. I love nothing more than taking time out of the day with a great latte. Now, I have found another little gem I can add to my favourites list. The seating is in an open floor space, and we're talking Bench and table. No cushions to be found here, so of your looking for the chesterfield or the wing back, go back to your usual haunt. However, here's the great thing. Whilst visiting the market to pick up fresh produce, you no longer need to endure crossing over town for a great coffee - it's all right here. Check it out yourself folks.

This place is my guilty secret. Nigel is a chatty, personable man who always has time for his customers. He is a great barista, who makes a great Americano and is willing to share hos knowledge and advise on choices.

Can't wait for the Coffee Grind to open again as soon as lockdown restrictions ease. Best coffee ever and I am really missing my daily hit. Hope you are both ok and keeping well

This place is absolutely fantastic. A privately owned, local coffee shop that serves proper, freshly ground coffee. Really nice staff and great owner that loves to talk coffee. Simply perfect.

Forget Starbucks and Costa, the coffee here is amazing and excellent value for money. Throw in the friendly staff and you have a recipe for success.
