Had a meal before going to see 'Perfect Nonsense', a PG Wodehouse Jeeves & Wooster play. The food and service was very good. The Octagon is a really friendly place to be. The play was sensational. Absolutely hilarious. The three actors worked their socks off to produce one of the funniest nights I've ever been to. Get there if you can.

Fantastic! Watched the Jeeves and Wooster production and it was simply brilliant. Laugh out loud funny. The set was amazing, superb acting especially as there were only 3 actors!

Great theatre. One of the only theatres where I don't think it matters where you sit since all the seats are good.

Went to see A view from the bridge by Arthur Miller. Excellent play really worth going to see. Outstanding actors, cant praise them enough. Not much leg room in my seat and I'm only 4ft 11 so I felt a little constricted. Pre ordered interval drinks would have worked well if we had been told where to collect them from. By the time we has asked someone and located them we only had a couple of minutes left to drink them. Venue was the Octagon in Bolton. Easy to park but there are a lot of corridors and stairs and doors, very confusing! However, I would return to watch another play here.

Magnificent. A jewel of a theatre and consistently one of the finest around. Always exceptional productions from a talented cast. Current production of A View From The Bridge is outstanding!

A superb local theatre catering for all ages with entertainment all round and a superb cafe open at evening and weekend which is reasonably priced. A great idea not to compete with neighbouring theatre the Albert halls when it comes to day to day productions like panto means the octagon has become a serious player locally.

This is a lovely intimate entertaining space. I particularly liked the steep angle of the seating as it meant you had a clear view of the performance area from every seat, no twisting around to see between the people infront of you. The acoustics were great too. It was so refreshing to hear voices and guitars without being overpowered by over amped sound systems. I'd definitely be interested in coming to another performance especially if its as good as the Book Ends doing the Simon and Garfunkel through the years tour.
