Just thought I'd write a review, I've not been here in a long time, I don't understand how it can have so many off putting reviews regarding the food. Maybe they understaffed, staff not trained properly rushed off there feet god knows. Management need to address and sort these issue out and get consistency. Do things right and business will do better it's not rocket science.
We had booked into a different Greene King a couple of miles away, we walked in spent 2 minutes and walked back out again. Checked on the map and found The Cotton Kier. Very glad we did. The staff where very welcoming and accommodating. Found us a seat straight away. Ordered at the bar, but the app was available. Only a short wait for the food, but well worth it. The steak I ordered came cooked perfectly and presented well. Very nice portions for the price. Desserts where bigger than expected and very nice. Overall I'm glad the other venue was not suitable for a nice meal (standing room only and very, very loud. More like a busy pub than an eatery).
First time dining here and was honestly a little dubious about trying the food after reading the reviews! Well, we needn't had worried as it was a positive experience all round. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. Staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and polite. Service was excellent and our order arrived quickly. The biggest surprise was how good the food was! We enjoyed every bit of our meal and will definitely be returning in the near future. Well done all at the Cotton Kier. Keep up the good work.
Exceptional experience this evening for our family of 15 get together in remembrance of Robert. Staff extremely pleasant, helpful & attentive. The food was excellent for everyone, & cooked to perfection. Thank you Colton kier much appreciated. ☺️
Visited with my family for a meal. Nothing to complain about. Good food for a decent price. Area for families and children. Seating outside. Clean and tidy. Plenty of parking.
Come in for something to eat on Saturday food was amazing we tried some of the new dishes all workers had a smile on there face even tho they was running around lime made will be back again

Came for a family lunch today, food was gorgeous not just average it was really really good even better than pub standard , the halloumi was amazing and the puddings were a nice little extra. The staff especially, Lisa and lucie seeing to our table where very helpful and attentive and Arthur on the bar was a lovely lad very helpful with our order too . Thank you for a lovely lunch
