Delightful cafe with very friendly staff! Food was lovely, venue was lovely in a cosy setting and great view. Pork and apple burger was super tasty. Most importantly, lots of choice for gluten free! Pretty much all sandwiches could be made gluten free, and a lot of the specials had gluten free adaption.

Called into the Byre Cafe on the way back from Black Combe for a well deserved sandwich and coffee. Lovely staff, great location and fantastic food. I had the cheese and homemade pickle sandwich on the best bread I’ve had in ages, and my mate had a huge piece of cake which he said was beautiful. Really happy to recommend The Byre Cafe.

Stopped by for lunch. Sat outside as we had our dogs. Very friendly staff. They brought out a bowl of water for the dogs. Can recommend the Ploughmans. Good variety and fresh. Also the afternoon tea was lovely. Too many choices for the cakes! 😆

We stopped here to have breakfast on our way back home and it was the best breakfast we've ever had. Everything was tasty and fresh. The staff were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. Plus it has an amazing view of the mountains to top it all.

We drop in here for a snack and coffee before returning south. Good food and friendly staff, but if you're stopping at lunchtime it can get busy and you'd be advised to book a table.

Wonderful cafe , with very good sandwiches and toasties, in addition to the usual cakes and baked goods. Very helpful and friendly, in a lovely old converted building, all
set against the fells in the background. There are not too many tea rooms and cafes in the area, but this one is a real gem. Highly recommended.

Arrived here after driving up from Cambridge in the early hours. In need of feeding and a rest.
First class English Breakfast! Good size and great ingredients. A lovely setting and welcoming and friendly staff. Couldn’t fault this place. Will make a point of coming back next time we’re up here. ❤️

The place was packed but the staff kindly found a place for one in the gift shop, lunch was just the homemade tomato & basil soup which was extremely delicious and satisfying.

Lovely little cafe! Seating available inside and out, free parking, and cosy atmosphere. When we arrived there was a private function going on inside the cafe, but the staff still made us feel welcome and explained what was going on and where we could sit and eat (outside or in the adjoining shop only). The cake and drinks selection was fab, and all the staff were so polite and friendly!

Good tasty food with a reasonable service. A little awkward with the seating having booked a table in advance for 7 to be squashed onto a smaller table whilst a party of 5 that had reserved too got a much larger table.

Went for afternoon tea with my daughter today. It was brought out on a beautiful platter with a wonderful selection of sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, scones with jam and cream, a huge selection of cakes, all homemade and totally delicious. Washed down with a pot of tea or coffee and great value at £12.50 per head. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed and it's great having such a nice place on our doorstep. More than happy to support this local business.
