Really nicely surprised here. Not busy when we came in, but soon filled up for mid week lunch (good sign) food was great quality, very tasty and big portion. Above your average pub grub will definitely return 🙂
We had a lovely Carvery meal on Sunday!
Staff were friendly and attentive, even though it was really busy when we were there! Meats were cooked beautifully and the vegetables to go with it were nice and fresh as there was someone topping up as we queued.
Felt like a nice and clean restaurant… as a table left, there was someone there pretty much straight away clearing and cleaning.
Overall a lovely experience and we cannot wait to come back, already booked for a couple weeks time!
We came across this place on a drive out. We booked ahead as it was a Sunday.
We eat different things and I had the roast Sunday dinner. One of my friends had fish & chips. The tables were very good with a great view out side. It became very busy so it was good that we booked a little time we before we arrived. Really nice meal good service and very filling meal. My visit again.
Thank you to the gentleman sitting at the bar taking bookings ( the landlord , owner ?) We popped in on the off chance last Sunday, and it was packed, but he found us an hour slot, which we gratefully accepted. Appropriate questions were asked about allergies by welcoming staff, the food was hot tasty, with a nice choice .
We have been before in the past and will go again in the future. Always recommend
What a well run pub! We turned up with no booking on a bank holiday at 2ish. The pub looked busy. We were served quickly. Food was very good, very generous too. Service was excellent clearly a well run pub with a good team spirit with staff. Will definitely go again.
I went during lunch time and It was quiet. The staff at the bar was courteous and showed us to a seat. I ordered the traditional fish and chips and it was piping hot when it was brought out. The fish could have been seasoned more as it tasted a bit bland but other than that, the portion was generous. The staff checked on us during the meal to see if everything was ok which was nice. All in all, a nice meal
The four us went today and had a lovely time, and a beautiful meal. We all had different meals including Vegan and gluten free 🌟 Quality of food was excellent 👌 Service was brilliant 👏 highly recommend and will definitely go again 😀 many thanks and God Bless 🙌
We ended up at the Tudor Rose by accident as our planned destination was too busy, but we were so grateful we did. The food was amazing, lots of delicious choices and all cooked to perfection with portion sizes that were just right. We discovered a little gem and will be returning again soon.
Myself and my family went to the carvery on the Sunday just gone, the food was lovely as was the service. Was very happy with the food we had and the prices were very worth what we received. We were also relieved that the air con was upstairs it made it lovely and cool and manageable due to the hot weather. Would highly recommend.
Excellent value for money 💰
The portion size was massive and I had the chicken and bacon pie with new potatoes, cabbage, carrot and mashed swede. My wife had a falafel burger 🍔 with side salad, chips and onion rings with bannoffee pie . Good selection of meals pub classics , specials like surf and turf and kids meals.
