Urban Beach

Good food and drinks, staff were mainly excellent, apart from the bar man who told us that we couldn't order a particular shot (tequila) because "it's not that type of venue"...... we were a group of 3 friends in our late 30s with our children celebrating my birthday so wanted a celebratory shot. Strange. Otherwise it was a beautiful venue and great vegan options on the menu!

We had such a great stay at Urban Beach with our one-year old. The staff were just lovely - really warm and welcoming - and even took the time to post a Polaroid picture that we left in the room back to us. If you book direct via their website you get a super nice breakfast included every day (they do a boss Bloody Mary). We had dinner there as well and the food great, as was the coffee and the cocktails. It’s got a really relaxed slightly-surfy vibe and is close by the beach. Highly recommended.

Chill atmosphere and brilliant staff! We visited each night during our stay for drinks and also one night had dinner - the fish of the day which was sooo tasty!! We stayed at a nearby Airbnb and the Wi-Fi didn’t work so the pub allowed my partner to work from there for a day. It was hugely appreciated and they were so welcoming. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting!!

Had 2 visits to the restaurant recently as it has always been one of my favourite places to meet up with friends for lunch. First occasion the food was excellent and couldn't fault anything, unfortunately one member of staff was not what I would call up to their usual standard. 2nd visit the staff were excellent, but the food was not brilliant. I did mention this and they did give me a 20% discount on my meal but it has made me think that maybe it's not matching the same standard as it used to.

I went there with my daughter and our two dogs. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They always smile and welcome you.I left my dogs in the room and went to the beach so comfortable(beach is only a few minutes walk) they are animal lovers♥️ We had the best vegan burgers for lunch, the room was so clean and had a powerful fan for hot weather. The most impressive part is the staff they are all nicer than each other♥️ I can’t wait to go back there🤍I also would like to thank the The Royal Bath Hotel for treating us terrible and making us search for another hotel. I am glad they did and we met these beautiful people🙏

Lovely little hotel, clean, warm welcome, the outside bar area is a lovely place to sit with a drink, staff are amazingly helpful and friendly! It was our 10th wedding anniversary and birthday combined, we were given a complimentary liquor drink on arrival and we were very well looked after throughout our stay! Room nice and modern and clean! Couldn’t fault it, everything is local and accessible. We will definitely be back again for an overnight stay!

Lovely atmosphere. Fish and chips was great, full of flavour, good quality batter and fish. Beth was our server and makes this place a go to destination. Friendly, engaging, fun and attentive. Everything you want in a companion for the evening. Her energy was infectious and she's a credit to her profession. She also thought my husband was her favourite, so extra points there. Will definitely be back.
