First time we have been here. Came for my anniversary. Eleanor was so polite and helpful. Offered free drink for our anniversary. Unexpected and really appreciated it. Felt welcome. Matthew was really good with the service. Service was really good but fudge cake wasn't warm and fish was okay not wow.

Decor & facilities looking fabulous after re opening...as you would expect after a six figure make over! Food was good, everything hit the table hot & garnished as described. Obviously as no longer a Hungry Horse, portion size much smaller, but we felt it was still good value & much better than the over priced, tiny, cold, ungarnished dishes you get from the other Greene Kings in the local area. Hopefully The Cranleigh retain these standards & don't end up slipping to become like the awful, grossly over priced food served by The Spyglass etc.. Great selection of drinks, reasonably priced. Service was ok considering they were busy & they must be experiencing teething problems. Strong management presence & plenty of staff on, again, hopefully it stays like this & it wasn't just for the opening. Only major criticism, didn't like the new format of quiz... BRING BACK ANITA!!! Not sure why you would replace such a well known & popular local personality & a great quiz format.. Nepotism I guess, ( apparently GK use this new quiz firm at the Spyglass)... seemingly, it's not what you know, its who you know, regardless of your talent, or ability to actually pronounce things correctly! What a shame, sullied an otherwise overall positive experience.

Visited The New Cranleigh on VIP night. We had a great time, welcome glass of proseco greeting at the front door, entertainment, free glass of delicious wine, free food (burgers were lovely!) And the place looks amazing. A far cry from the old Cranleigh. Botanical decor, foliage features, brass, plush seating and lovely staff. The bar is stocked with premium spirits. Food menu looked very affordable. Will definitely be back for a cheeky date night. Keep up the good work! 👍

People may put this place down, I am not here to do that. I went in for a meal and the food came out within 30 mins. It was cooked extremely well, the gammon and halloumi fries were delicious! Under new management, Georgia the new manager was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Will definitely come here again. Great value for money!
