Schooner Restaurant - Bournemouth - Photo album

Nicely cooked unpretentious food and friendly staff. Don't go if you're in a hurry as service isn't quick. I personally don't like dogs in a place where I'm eating, but obviously dog owners might think it's a good idea. You can usually park on the road outside and there is a council car park nearby.
Lovely owners, lovely coffee and lovely home made cake!!
We were staying in an apartment close to this lovely little cafe so decided to buy our lunchtime sandwiches there. It was the same lady who served us on both days and she was very friendly and professional. We sat and waited while our sandwiches were made. They were really nice, very fresh with ple
Homely, warm experience with quality, home cooked, British menu. We enjoyed Christmas dinner and were impressed by the generous portions of pate and blue cheese given the very reasonable prices. It's a firm favourite with locals and I can see why. Very friendly and flexible staff as well.
Had a Flat White coffee, wife had a Latte, must say it was better than Costa's , and the food and service is 10/10, if your down Southbourne beach, you must stop there for you food. Very impressed.
the service was perfect the food very nice and one of the good points they allowed my 2 little dogs in and even gave them a little bowl of treats thankyou
Excellent meal, great value for money. Wish we had gone there earlier in the week but only open lunch time and closed Monday and Tuesday. Definitely recommend as my wife is coeliac and they couldn’t have been more helpful and cooked the meal for her.
So glad we found this cafe. Warm welcome from the owner, excellent coffee and tasty good value food. Made with fresh good quality ingredients. We will definitely be back to try Sunday lunch
Visited today with my husband and 2 children age 7 and 10 for brunch. We arrived at 9.40, as website advertised as open at 9.30am. This wasn't too much of an issue. We waited outside for a couple of minutes and the owner let us in. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome. Service was speed
Whst a lovely place! We had some refreshments here last Sunday and were so impressed with the service, and the quality of the food that we saw coming out. The prices were excellent, much cheaper than most nearby places. The owner was lovely, so helpful and friendly, would thoroughly recommend this p
We popped into The Schooner for lunch after a very long tiring walk. The owner welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble for her. Being unable to speak I was given the time to write down my lunch request, which were met perfectly. We had a very good lunch which set us up for the return walk. Th

Stumbled across this little place. I was five minutes past the last orders time for lunch but they kindly did me one anyway. I had fish pie - was lovely and clearly home made. Served piping hot with a good variety of fresh veg. I had a butterfly cake for afters - again homemade and divine. The menu
