My partner and I were so excited to discover a Yo! Sushi was opening in Bournemouth! We waited patiently for it to open, and went there for the first time Friday before dinner.
Having experience with how busy Yo! Sushi Southampton got, we decided to beat the dinner rush. We are glad we did because after we were seated there was a queue going outside the door, people perhaps waited around for 15-20 minutes before being seated. It's a shame that it is so small, can feel a little tight in there (similar to the Southampton one really) but it's an attractive little restaurant.
The staff seem to constantly be smiling, and very friendly, keeping up with the buzzing atmosphere which always adds to the experience in my opinion :)
Food was good, very filling! I was sure they used to have more variety for desserts, but can't complain, all still delicious :) can see this turning into a monthly treat for us!
[EDIT] I have added some photos - been a year since I wrote this review, but still enjoy visiting and eating there! If you sign up to their website you can get a 3rd off on your birthday ;)
Very nice, lovely staff. Delicious food for a good price. Small plates big taste.
Although I have eating sushi many times this was my first time at Yo. Awesome experience, the service was great & so was the funny fresh cuisine.
The seafood soup is to die for! Very delicious and very hearty. I wanted to try sushi but I was too full. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiter (I don't remeber his name) very helpful and kind. Definetely will come back there!
Great place with lots of dishes. The staff are very friendly and respond quickly to help requests. Seems a shame that they don't seem to offer offers like some of the other YO! Sushi bars I've been to.
Been to 3 different Yo! Sushi branches and they're all of excellent quality. Keep it up, my new favourite place to eat.
Go on Blue Monday. Every Monday you can get 45 normally more expensive dishes for £2.80 each. The sushi was good, a conveyor belt of food is something you don't get anywhere else. You can sit facing the high street, enjoyed people watching while eating too much sushi
Great food. Highly recommend ordering the Chicken Katsu! Wonderful staff as well!
Always good food, favourite place to eat in bmth. Accepts taste card which is a big plus. Chef went out their way for me which is appreciated. Love it staff.
but we ordered puddings and waited a while, turns out they forgot to put the order through.
Great place to try loads of sushi and other Japanese dishes, good selection of drinks and unlimited water for £1.50. Try sumo if you are hungry and the portions are good. Don't forget you can also ask for a dish like a normal restaurant if you'd like. Only thing is that it can get pricey quite quickly!
