An exceptional pub with an atmosphere that beats any. Always has something going on and always busy. The food is traditional pub grub and is always good . Landlord and landlady have really got this right ! I would recommend to anyone who loves a great pub, staff, atmosphere and fun. Thank god for the spyglass ❤️

We - a group of 3 couples - visited twice during a short trip to the area. It is big pub but was always full during our evening visits and there was a wonderful atmosphere. Service was wonderful. Between the six of us we tried quite a few of the dishes on the varied menu and none of us were disappointed. Great food and great value. We also enjoyed the quiz evening and to our surprise, the live music evening. We also stopped by for breakfast on our last day. Again excellent food and amazing value for money. A big thank you to all the staff who were so friendly and welcoming.

I’ve been here three times. The food is always good and rather a nice atmosphere. I love the lights and how it’s decorated, looks so pretty at night. I always looked forward to my once a year visit here. Only thing is was disappointed on our last night as we walked in about 8.15pm to find they had stopped serving food, when it clearly stated on the website and on the board outside that it serves food until 10pm.
