Top notch authentic Indian cuisine. Fantastic, welcoming staff. I cannot recommend the Naga chicken enough, especially if you're a lover of a good vindaloo. All 3 dishes ordered were full of flavour, well cooked, and did not come out with that horrible grease and oil that some places give you. The best cheese naan in the area. Look forward to coming back soon, thanks for a great night!

It was the best experience ever . I became a fan of indian food for now . The restaurant is very nice and makes you to feel very welcome. The staff very courteous and profesional . The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous . We couldn't ate all but we asked the saff to pack the left over only because the food was so delicious !
We strongly recommend .

Very easy to book a table with polite telephone manner. Service was attentive and prompt, and the food was very good. 4 stars only due to getting desert wrong but we were too drunk to care.

We intended to dine at a nearby Italian restaurant but we were told in an offhand and negatively unsimpathetic way that there were no tables available - even though there were no tables occupied at that time. We walked just 30 or so yards from that place towards Southbourne centre and came accross JOY. We must admit that we were confused by tha name and really did not know what food was on offer. Thankfully, the proprietor realised our dilemma and understood that we were in a state of indecision outside the premises/ He then came out to confirm JOY was an indian restaurant. We decided to give the restaurant a try and were not dissappointed. We both totally recommend what I guess is a hidden jem in Southboune, If you love Indiam food and want good sevice and tremendous food then put Joy on your list of "restaurants in Southboune I must visit". Thank you - lovely food and wonderfull service.

This is without doubt the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited. Very friendly, spotlessly clean, delicious food and top rate service. We have four Indian restaurants within walking distance but prefer to spend the cab fare (drinks are well priced) and visit Joys

Absolutely delicious food, great service with a good sense of humour! And despite not having it on the menu, they made me the most amazing chilli nan!
Can't recommend this restaurant enough!
If you like good Indian food, you will definitely not regret going here!
