The Hare & Hounds Restaurant

Lovely!!! So absolutely lovely!! The food was delicious!! I had some garlic mushrooms as a starter. They were what I was expecting but they were delicious. Then it was roast lamb with roasted potatoes, some sweet potatoes, some type of pan fried bread atop (sorry I don't remember what that was from the menu), and some beets. I don't like beets and it was listed as "seasonal root vegetable" I think but that's fine. Oh and gravy. The dish was delicious!! Dessert was sticky toffee pudding and that was great! I HIGHLY recommend the "English Garden" or "Gin Garden" cocktail. Soo Soo delicious!! First time I've had that before and I've ordered it a few different places now -- gin, elderflower liqueur, apple juice, lime (or lemon juice and peel). Just super delicious!! The staff were also just really, very friendly. Needless to say, I'll be visiting again!!

We had a two day stay at The Hare and Hounds and was treated to a beautiful room comfy bed and a large Bathroom gorgeous big bath and a ample Shower. Very friendly staff .Food lovely nothing was too much trouble. The weather was very very wet cant do anything about the weather but returning to the Hotel to a lovely wood burner very toasty xxx Well worth a visit xx❤😎
