The Albert - Bowness-on-Windermere - Photo album

One of the best places in the whole of the lakes to grab a bite to eat and have a couple of drinks. Nice atmosphere, although depending on time of year it can get very busy and you'll struggle to get a table. I rate the food very highly here, always been excellent food.
Very welcoming staff and atmosphere. We were told when ordering at the bar that food could be 40-50 minutes, as it was extremely busy (which it was). Food came in 25 minutes, so we were very happy. We had Lasagne, and Sausage of the Day. They were both worth the price for sure. Would recommend.
Really delicious lunch at The Albert - one of those places where they've made the effort to make every element on the plate really tasty including a well dressed salad. We were told the food could be up to 40 minutes as it was busy but it only took about 15. Tip - if it's busy downstairs there is a
Service excellent even at very busy times, good drink range although a couple of things that were on the drinks menu weren't stocked. Rooms are clean and well presented, everything you need for a cosy weekend at the lakes. Outside area is amazing .
We came as two families of 4. The menu is varied with something for everyone I had the buffalo wings to start, which weren't the best I'd had. Lacked flavour and seemed to just have been tossed in some sweet chilli bottled sauce, but my taste buds we're looking forward to some proper hot wings. I ha
Such a cozy and great pub. We had a Sunday roast with a very decent wine for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended. Everything was delicious.
Had a great time at the Bowness-fest a couple of weeks back. Great atmosphere, dancing and singing. Great event in aid of Macmillan Nurses. Well done to all the staff.
Great place. Beautifully decorated and finished interior with a lovely atmosphere. Kids meals are fantastic quality and the fish and chips are the size of a whale!
Popped in here for a drink with my wife and 2 adult sons after a terrible meal at the Flying Pig over the road from the Albion. Wish now we had gone to the Albion. Lovely pub nice atmosphere and great service. Thanks
Just stopped for a quick lunch. Staff really friendly. Food amazing. Nice atmosphere. Would love to have a venue like this at home.
Excellent family place for dinner and drinks. Must try chicken wings, cheese board, and variety of cocktails. We missed the live night on Friday night as it was fully booked.
Great location and quirky pub. Worth a visit for sure. Great outdoor area in summer.
Came across this pub while walking down the street from Beatrix Potter attraction. The atmosphere is lovely and most importantly they cater for families. The menu options are typical of an English pub. They had good selection of specials and kids menu.
Lovely meal, we both enjoyed, staff so friendly, the pub was very busy, but the service was first rate.
