Found this place by chance and so glad we did. Friendly service, good choice, average price for the food, and one of the best fish and chips I've ever had, not greasy at all, the batter was light and crispy. Good size piece of fish. I had fish, chips, peas and gravy and the portion was a good size.

Only fish and chip shop in lake district that fries the fish separately and not with other meats. Also no beer in the batter.
Brilliant service and no charge for the extra quality sauces. Eat in upstairs with tables and chairs.

We went for lunch on a Saturday and was impressed. Prices are fair. Service is friendly. Food is very good. It’s 15% extra to eat in upstairs. The upstairs dining area is modern, clean and basic. So overall very good.

Really enjoyed the food, only haddock was available. Portion size is decent, with really nice and crispy chips. They have 40 seater seating space, but charge extra to eat in. We did a take away so cant comment on the atmosphere. The batter is alcohol free and they use vegetable oil. Halal friendly.
