People complaining about the service in this place are either really are just picking for fault or dealt with very different members of staff. On a personal level (for me and quite a few people I know) Im not keen on being disturbed whilst I eat. Myself, my fiancé and my son ate here today and I couldn't fault anything. The decor was fantastic, the service was really good and the food came very quickly. And to top it off, it was delicious. I had no issue with the waitress that we dealt with and we would happily visit here again. Reasonably priced too for the area and they have good portion sizes!

Great friendly and welcoming pub. Food looks great but a must are the pork scratching and apple pure dip, great with a pint or three!!!!

Really great food, tasty and served hot. Staff were friendly and helpful, but looked like they needed a little more staff than what they had. Had a lovely time! Chicken burger was especially nice.

Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve eaten in my life - thank you chef! The Cumbrian sausage is super tasty & plentiful. Loved the local beer of the day choices on draft. Staff is Super fun & efficient. Atmosphere & music were exceptional.

Fantastic pub, drinks and food. The service was outstanding from a male (unfortunately didn't catch his name) with ginger hair, he was brilliant We had the mussels, sharing platter, fish pie and gluten free chicken and could not fault ANY of it. Would highly recommend and will absolutely be going back. And very very dog friendly which was lovely

What can I say never in my life have I had a burger like that ever incredible flavour and the ginger lad that served us was great. Also the lovely bar maid I enjoyed some banter with and was very welcoming didn't catch her name unfortunately. Others in my party had fish and chips fresh and delicate... chicken burger was told was incredible and the pot of mussels was amazing....all in all an incredible do not pass bye ...till the next time

Visited with my friend and our two cockapoos, and we had a delightful experience! We savored the scrumptious cheese and onion pie along with the triple-baked lasagna – both were heavenly. Our waiter was fantastic, offering excellent recommendations and making our meal even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was charming, and we can't wait to return on our next visit!

Great beer garden which does draw you in, as its all decked with flowers. Sat inside, got a table in 5 mins. They have a few different beers but not a huge array, they were kind enough to bring a small taster of the specials. Great looking menu of big meals and sandwiches, you better be hungry as portions are decent. Got a great pulled chicken salad with honey mustard dressing switched out, it was great. Ploughman's was everything you'd want in a ploughman's lunch. Definitely worth a visit. Dog friendly if that's your thing. Staff very nice.

Not a bad place. Food wax ok. Atmosphere was good. A hotspot for tourists which isn't a bad thing. Probably won't be back as its just a pud and there are others that offer a wider selection of food around the area.

A traditional style pub, with a modern twist to its menu, located in the heart of Windermere. Staff is absolutely wonderful and will welcome you with a big smile and warm hospitality. We loved the selection of beers, especially since they have Corona & Erdinger on tap amongst many other. Food is delicious, and the portion sizes are hearty. Prawn and hummus are a must-have. The food is absolutely brilliant with something for everyone. They have lunch and mains, sides and smaller bites, loads of vegan and vegetarian options as well! We spent the entire afternoon there, as the vibe of the place is excellent.

Staff were very friendly, we only had a couple of beers, but they were great! Didn't eat, but the reviews are good 👌
