The George

Had a lovely 3 days at the George. Anthony the manager and head chef really was a delight,great meet and greet, good fun to talk to and of course, provided excellent meals. Adam also a chef provided breakfast that lasted till dinner,large and very tasty . We stayed in the thyme suite ,really quirky, on two levels ,a delight. The service from all the staff was first class ,thank you Anthony ,Adam and all for a lovely stay.

Grate food here at the George pub. Really enjoyed the food, the chef seems to be a real Human and the Owner dose a great meet and greet. I noticed it had a 5star for hygiene. Lovely young lady was working hard in the service side of things keep up the good work. I'll be B A C K ..... tea Lancashire.

Stayed for two nights last week (April '23). Apparently The George has recently changed ownership and is offering a new menu. The accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, included, was more than we could manage and negated the need for a lunch other than a sandwich! We ate both evenings in the restaurant and both times the meals were excellent, probably costing a lot more in other establishments, for the quality of food delivered. Martin, Courtney and all the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Thank you all for a nice short break.
