Moody chic vibes, friendly staff. Very tasty food, highly recommend the Caviar Sole - divine. Price point is a little high considering portion sizes. Seems like a popular joint in Bradford and has certainly made a name for itself. Very very slow service on the day - which staff were constantly apologetic for. A complimentary something or another wouldn’t have gone a miss for the inconvenience. A 3 course meal did take in excess of 3.5 hours… the first course took over an hour and 20 to arrive - by the end of dinner we were exhausted. Nice touch with the hand written birthday card.

So I was told this is the best steak restaurant in the country…
And boy was it!!!
We drove up from Birmingham to try Cona and i cannot express how amazing it was, our host was the owner. He was absolutely amazing.
If you’re a lover of good food this place is for you.
The steak was cooked to perfection and was the best quality I’ve ever had. The flavours was amazing with items I’ve never had before.
So we were about to leave before dessert but our host made us try the cheesecake and I’m so glad he did. It was honestly the best cheesecake we had. I would 100% recommend Cona.
Thank you

Very few places can hold a candle this place in terms of food in the whole of the UK. Top Dubai style steaks and everything else to a very high standard... The Sunday roast veg and Yorkshire puds were great with my fillet, although I would have liked the triple cooked chips (but will have to visit on another day etc The Bao buns and the beef ribs were another level ....awesome food..

2nd time visiting Cona now. Service was great. We went for the Sunday roast. Lobster ravioli and lamb shawarma starters were on point. Although we asked for medium well we got medium rare. No biggie still nice cuts of meat and great accompaniments. Will go again.

First time here and the food was absolutely delicious. Staff were super helpful and friendly, a really great experience. Highly recommend
Ps forgot to take pictures of the roast because it was eaten so quickly 😂

Amazing food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend for quality dining.

Great night out. Had the Australian wagyu for two with mushroom/peppers and Mac n cheese. The wagyu came with triple fried chips.
Had the ribs ..melt in the mouth style with a beautiful sauce that made u do a lil happy dance 😃
Overall, top service as waiting staff don't badger you when you have a mouthful for feedback on food. Which I think is very thoughtful.
100% recommend this place, book in advance and go spend some money on some quality tasting food.

The best halal steakhouse I’ve been to hands down. High quality meat and fantastic service that trumps what I’ve had across the world including London, Dubai, and the US.
Favourite menu item - pulled rib bao buns. Amazing.

Went at 6.30 on a Thursday.
Ordered:
- short ribs with bao buns
- Australian wagyu rib eye cut
- chicken pie
The steak and rib were definitely the best i have ever had!
It was so tender, juicy and well cooked with full of flavour.
And since we went for our anniversary, they gave us a card and a little dessert which was really sweet of them.
Would definitely go again!

Absolutely the best halal fine dining steak place that we love to visit. The food and service is always spot on. They go over and beyond to explain everything and make sure you have the best dining experience.
The a la carte menu and the Sunday roasts are exceptional.

Made a great night special.
The service here is unmatched! We had the fortune of being served primarily by the owner and it really was incredible.
When talking to him you can feel how passionate he is about the food, which makes the meal much more into an experience.
Definitely want to give thanks to all the staff and we will be doing when we come back.

So firstly I would like to say thank you to the owner as he accommodated 10 of us as requested by a family member who knows him. The place is set out well. Nice, clean and simple. Polite staff members. Each of us had a three course meal. Food was beautiful.. lots of flavour. The prawns had to be the favourite! Expensive however it's an experience.

Very good experience. Service was brilliant. Food was quality. Mojitos were amazing. Sauce on the chicken tempura was abit too strong but still okay. The peppercorn sauce was absolutely amazing. Starter ribs were succulent. Dessert was absolutely amazing. Best chocolate fondant i’ve ever had. Price is dear but worth it for the quality of food. Would definitely recommend.

We visited Cona after reading good reviews online. The food was a massive disappointment.
I ordered a lamb dish and my wife ordered squid ink spaghetti with prawns. My lamb was served rare and I really struggle to swallow rare meat. I wasn't asked how I wanted it cooked at the time of ordering. I asked a member of staff if she could ask the chef to make it well done. She came back and told me that they can't cook it 'well done' as it'll burn if they cook it any longer. I was absolutely surprised at her response and told her to take the food and dispose it as I could not eat it.
My wife's dish was served with goats cheese which was not specified on the menu. My wife does not eat cheese so she asked the waitress to get her a new dish without cheese. To my surprise the waitress said she could not replace the dish as 'this is how its served' even though we showed her the menu doesn't specify cheese. We returned this dish too.
At this point we asked for the manager and told him about our experience. He offered us free drinks and said 'maybe try a burger next time you come'. I couldn't tell if this guy was serious. I really expected a better response from a manager. We paid £40 for the 2 bites of food we ate and left in disappointment.
One things for sure, there is no next time and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Extremely disappointed. Went there today with the family expecting a good ambiance and experience. Walked in the place smelt foul We complaint to the server who didn’t seem to really care. He offered to close the door but mentioned it will get hot. We ordered some drinks and the glasses and water. Every single glass was dirty including the bottle of water. we complaint again and the server just shrugged. Really didn’t seem to care.
We paid for the drinks and walked out. Smell aside this is suppose to be a top restaurant there is really zero excuse for having dirty glasses and bottles. We didn’t even drink any drinks and ended up still paying for them says a lot about this place. Not one of the servers or managers even made an attempt to rectify the situation or apologise! Been a few times but never again.

So after all the recommendations. And YahyaRawat endless harping on about how great this restaurant is, I traipsed up to Bradford to be dissapointed by yet another 'fine dining' wannabe. I arrived for lunch and although severely late was still greeted with a smile. Shown to my table I was asked if I wanted a drink.
Drink served, we went through lunch options. Starters was a truffle gnocchi. I was told that this recipe was different from normal gnocchi. It was amazing, a wonderful depth of flavour coming from the morrels trumpets and truffles. The gnocchi had a pleasant light texture, a joy to eat...not heavy or stodgy as you would find normal gnocchi. I was given complimentary ciabatta baked in house, lightly toasted with seaweed butter again delightful. You can't go wrong with warm toasted fresh bread can you??
Mains I went for the salt Marsh lamb with aubergines and kale. This has to be the absolute star dish. The meat cooked how the chef intended it to be served, Was beautiful tender moist and melt in the mouth. The aubergine was out of this world a flavour that I hadn't come across and two ingredients I would never would have put together. The dehydrated kale was wonderful adding texture to the dish and pickled onions cutting through the whole thing with a bit of acidity. If anyone knows me, they know I don't do Meat. This however is now a firm favourite. When I go back and find its not on the menu I will be very unhappy.
Dessert was bakewell tart. I had the unfortunate event of having a horrendous bakewell tart being bought for me from bakewell. The bakery need to take lessons from the chef here, as this bakewell tart was nothing short of perfection. Crumbly pastry, the right balance of jam and almond finished off with strawberry ice cream with pieces of strawberries running through, strawberries that actually transported you back to your childhood. A strawberry jam and chocolate soil.
I couldn't leave without having a chocolate fondant. A true testament to any fine dining institute is to get out a perfect fondant and this one didn't fall short of my expectations. Oozing hot chocolate beautiful delicately flavoured salted caramel ice cream with pieces of sea salt running through. And of course the sharpness of cherry jam cutting through the richness of it all. My only gripe...more cherry jam please. For those who don't like it. You have no idea of what your talking about.
I was so impressed with my experience here in the afternoon that having met my cousin in the evening and discussing cona she wanted to pay a visit. I seriously didn't have a problem with this. I ended up with the seabass with cooked just right with a crisp skin and baby stem broccoli along with a spinach creme. A lighter meal put together for me as I had literally visited them hours earlier. Dessert this time was a strawberry cheese cake...but don't be fooled by the average name. Nothing is average here.
This restaurant certainly lives up to its hype. My faith in halal fine dining is restored. I could not find fault with the food or the knowledge of the chef creating these wonderful plates of the most fantastic flavours. Everything is as it should be.
The price is as expected with fine dining a little on the expensive side, but as with anything you pay for what you get. The finest, freshest ingredients are one of the reason the plates sing and dance with amazing flavour and flair. You can't get the nostalgic childhood flavour of strawberry from a pound a punnet from asda. Not to mention the time, care and processes it needs to be made into a delightful dessert.
What makes this place even more special is the passion and dedication shown by the owner and creator of these exemplary dishes. The sourcing of the finest ingredients, the skill and knowledge required to put these dishes together completely self taught. Which in my opinion is the highest form of dedication to the mastering of his craft, and mastered it he most certainly has. This place is certainly at the top of my favorites and I shall be visiting this place again very soon...breakfast tomorrow morning!

I've been to Cona twice now for Sunday Lunch.
The first time was amazing! Starters were really flavoursome and the beef main course was some of the best beef I've eaten, although the portion size was rather small. The owner was very hospitable and offered us seconds and thirds because, and I'll quote "Our Sunday lunch is about feeding people, ask us for more food and we'll bring you as much as you want".
This hospitality was really refreshing and made me want to return.
And I did return, however I had a completely different experience.
The service was very rushed, it was as if they wanted to order, eat and get out as quickly as possible. The food in general wasn't as good as last time, apart from the shrimp tempura was pretty amazing. The dessert I asked for had run out, so I had to settle for an alternative.
The main thing that upset me was that I still felt hungry at the end of the mains. When I asked the waiter for seconds, he laughed in my face. When I mentioned what we were told last time, I was ignored.
I don't think I'll be returning to Cona any time soon.

This place is over rated the prices are sky high the quality of food was disappointing and the level of service was poor. We ordered steak and got chicken the wrong order and got charged for it not to mention the hidden services charge.

Excellent food. If you love steak then it's definitely worth visiting. Maybe the menu can offer non steak lovers a wider selection. All the dishes were a delight especially the prawns/chicken tempura and the chicken yakitori.

Absolutely disgusted by the attitude of Ahmed after phoning to cancel a reservation short notice due to sickness...his response 'oh my god' he then tells me that I should have given more notice and I explained that the opening hours were 12 and I rang him at 12.04 and it was unfortunate and short notice ...then for him to give me a lecture that this was wrong and other food establishments don't accept this...other food establishments would have accepted it and moved on but not this guy!!! so glad I'm not going now and never will spend my money in that place ....

Absolutely amazing food, quite expensive so more for special occasions but absolutely worth the hour drive! The starters are out of this world
