This fine establishment has a wide range of cusine that will cater for the needs of everyone. This restraunt has everything you need:great food, good service and maybe if your lucky a beautiful fragranced tea on the house. The cooks are stupendous at their job with you being to see a open view of the food being cooked on red hot coals. You cant really fault this place! .... Just came back from Zaffran. Newly refurbished. Wonderful food and hospitality.. Ahmad is Star. He always lookafter customers needs. You must try their aromatic tea. Awesome service from Ahmad.Bless him.🙂💯

An unassuming corner plot off Westgate is where to find some delicious Persian hospitality. Authentic flavours and good value to my eye. The grilled food was presented beautifully and cooked fresh to order. Salads were lovely and if chicken soup is a standard to rate a restaurant, we loved theirs. I might prefer it to its more expensive cousin on Leeds Road…. Give it a go when you’re hungry….

We had some kebabs and wraps, and the food was great, served by very nice staff. The Persian tea was truly delicious. One of the nosiest restaurants I've ever been in, and I couldn't hear the waiter when he came to serve us. Also, note that this is cash only. It is funny that many restaurants in this area are cash only (I wonder why?) but there is no sign of this on the website, only on the door when you arrive.

Zaffran is a unpretentious place that stays popular due to the consistent quality of the food. Their skewer kebabs are excellent with high quality meat/chicken/keema. Well presented and very tasty. Good customer service too. Usually the music is too loud in restaurants, here it was a touch too low. They play some classic Iranian music (old school), put it up a little! 😃

Very good food, fresh and full of taste. Went for a family dine night. For starter we ordered chickrn rolls. mashed aubergine and falafels. Falafels tested really great. I wish there were more. Hubby was very happy with his grilled seabass with salad, both the children ordered grilled fillet of lambs with chips and I went for their highly recommended both chicken and lamb minced grill with chips. For dessert we ordered molten lava cake and choc ice-cream. All were really delicious. Great food and fantastic ambience. We had a lovely time, well spent.

Nice decor inside. There is around 6 tables available with each enough to seat 4 people. We arrived quite early on and got seated straight away. For staters we ordered the Mirza Ghasemi which is grilled aubergines with a tomato and garlic base served with fresh naan. It was a very decent portion size and will easily serve 3 people. For mains we ordered the Lamb shank along with the lamb kobeda and a portion of chips. The lamb kobeda was very nice, however, it could have been juicer as it was slightly on the dry side. The lamb shank was very flavourful and fall off the bone - served with saffron rice it was enjoyable. The portion sizes are very generous and the lamb shank meal will feed 3 people easily. Overall a very nice quiet intimate restaurant with helpful staff and lovely food. The bill came to just over £30 for 2 people with lots of food left over ( enough to feed another person comfortably)
