Ho Mei

Since double happiness on manchester road shut I have been looking for another Chinese take away. I have tried lots but all have been very disappointing. I tried Ho Mei on wibsey high street today and was very pleased great food great flavours only criticism I can give is the chips could of done with being cooked a little bit longer

I give this place 4/5 I ordered a (1). special black bean which was nice full of different meat with onions, carrots, peppers and more in a nice black bean sauce. very nice on the pallet with the undertones of nice cooked meats worth getting. (2) also the chips was nice and cooked and wasn’t the soggy Chinese flat door step chips you normally get so definitely worth getting (NOTE I don’t know if they fluctuate between the 2 different chips I’m judging on the ones I got) (3) the curry sauce was slightly watery which moved the ratings a little (4) the Singapore fried rice was decent enough in a large tray with good amounts of meat to rice ratio and was well fried without the the clumps of uncooked/un-fried rice you normally get on a whole I found it good and worth a try..
