Really quite good all round. Having used Toby sparingly over the years, the food and service had always been ropey but this was such a step up. The food was not overcooked. Service was there when needed. I would happily return here!

Decent food at decent prices. If you don't like veggies then don't have veggies. Plenty of meat and Yorkshire puddings to fill up on instead. Staff were really friendly and helpful at the Braintree restaurant.

All the staff were very friendly. Great service. The food was great and the drinks were on the table when we got back from getting our food. We were not rushed out of the door.

Only down side really is not being able to heat the food up a bit more with a microwave. Appreciate it can't be kept piping hot in the serving area for various reasons including the simple fact the food would dry out but the ability to be able to heat it up a bit more, a standard 1 minute setting in an area at the end would make a lot of difference in the overall quality of the meal. Otherwise, staff were great as always and the food was lovely, albeit a bit cooler than I would have liked.

Food was great, selection was good although they had run out of gammon. The staff were amazing and working really really hard as it was very busy. I think that more staff being on duty would've made for happier customers and staff. Customers were having to chase staff members to pay as they were so busy.

As you enter your the staff are quick to find a table for you if it's not to busy and your seated and asked what you'd like to drink.
Once you've done that you go for your food and it's easy to have eyes bigger than your belly. Staff come and check to make sure all is OK and also ask before you go up if your vegan or have any allergies. Always a pleasure to go for a meal with the family

Lynn my server was absolutely fabulous, not just with me but all the table I saw her serve. I work in the trade and I was great to see someone so good with all the customers of all ages, you can tell she really cares.

Lynne was fantastic. So obviously happy in her work and so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. You can see she is very popular with all the guests. She works so hard.

This was the second time we were in and I must say the service was excellent.
I made sure we were served by the same waitress Lynn...I was so pleased to see that she was working.
Although she did have so many other customers she made us feel special.
Must recommend the "pigs" as she called them..pigs in blankets yum yum.

Have been meaning to try here for ages. Was worth the wait. The food was delicious. I would have gone back for more potatoes, if not full up. Very reasonable prices, very hard working staff. Definitely going back!
