What a find this was! Given the weather I was very much in the mood for a smoothie. I googled the nearest place (I was at Freeport) and Shake Away came up - such a lovely little place, really lovely people and they made me exactly what I wanted, even though it wasn’t listed! Very happy customer and I will be back!

Such a nice cafe :) Very nicely decorated and they have a lot of different drink options and some food/ snacks. I always get the oreo milkshake, it’s simple but so yummy and my favourite drink. They make many milkshakes from different chocolates/biscuits. Excited for my next visit to try the iced coffee and maybe get some dog icecream for my puppy! I’ve also seen they have a jar of treats for dogs which you can just take a treat for your pup :))

I've been coming here since I first spotted them (had they just opened?) in 2009, and since it was taken over in 2011. I've long since moved away from Braintree but I come back every couple of months and, without fail, get myself a large Oreo milkshake. Over a decade on, it's the benchmark I rate all other shakes against. Delicious shakes from a cute shop, with friendly service every time I've ever stepped in. A great family business and long may they continue to succeed.

This place is to die for. I don’t go nearly as often as I would like, it’s just too naughty - it’s that special treat that you can’t get enough of. Choose anything on the board or create your own, very obliging, all made fresh there and then; there are even treats for dogs, too!

Best milkshakes in town. Please don't let the quality go down, the thickness of milkshakes is what's best about this place. Love it, easy weekend treat!

Lots of options on the menu, the staffs very nice and talkative. The best milkshakes I have also ever tasted! I would rate ten stars if I could. The prices are also very good for what you get!

Had two hot chocolates today, absolutely lovely, massive range of possible flavours. I have a nut allergy and the lady went the extra mile to eliminate any risk with cross contamination which I greatly appreciated. Will be back!

Visited this place yesterday with my little family. we ordered strawberry milkshakes and they were ABSOLUTELY delicious. We will be back each time we come to Braintree. The staff were also very nice so happy all in all.

Local DPD delivery driver here! Everytime I get the opportunity to I grab one of their lovely shakes, made fresh in front of you with so much to choose from, best I've had!

Definitely a 10/10 for me; great service, excellent for on the go.
My favourite is definitely the kinder bueno and my second is the Ferraro Rocher.

It doesn't surprise me at the time of writing this that Shake Express has 5 stars. It is well deserved.
The independent, family fun business is tucked neatly towards the end of the High Street. It serves almost an unthinkable amount of shakes as well as other treats. The prices are fair, and the servings are generous. I remember ordering a large and struggling to finish it.
For the Summer they do cold shakes and the Winter they do warm ones. Make sure to have a good chat with the staff, they are great fun and very knowledgeable of the local area.

Brilliant freshly made ice creams, Very delicious with a huge range to choose from! Highly recommend as great prices. Also doing warm milkshakes!!
