I am from North London but live in Germany. This was my first Pie and Mash in 2 years thanks to covid and how nice it was too my mum is a cockney and grew up on Manzes in Walthamstow and they didnt disappoint here in Braintree. Fod was delicious and the service was proper friendly and the lady working there was fantastic. If you like Pie and Mash this is a good one!

Lovely friendly lady... happy to help with free parking for quick pick up... Mash sizes was exceptional. Pies brill and liquor spot on.

This restaurant is a Pie and Mash Shop. It is situated on Braintree High Street. It has a famous name "Manze's" which has been going for at least 100 years. The pies are well known throughout the country.
There is no parking on the High Street that I could see. It is well worth visiting. It is done out like a Pie and Mash shop of long ago. They also sell jellied eels. Prices are very good not high.

Really friendly, great prices and the pie & mash is just like East End pie & mash. Been looking for proper pie & mash closer to me for ages and now this is my families Friday night dinner.
