Traditional pub with well kept real ales, lately from Bishop Nick brewery, which if a few doors away. Large beer garden and friendly, efficient staff.

it is so much better now it has been redecorated and the manager and his team are very friendly and made us feel very welcome as new clients we will definitely be going back and hopefully will take friends as well 😊

I think it's only fair to start this review and get straight to the point. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice this pub is! From the outside, you get the impression it's a bit dpit and sawdust. How wrong I was!
Its layout is great with the 2 bars, a pool room, and a well designed garden patio area with covered seating and subtle lighting.
The place was extremely well looked after, cleared regularly, and this includes the toilets. The staff were very polite and courteous, so they added to the evening as a whole.

Only stayed for 1 drink but seemed a nice atmosphere in there. Although it did kick off by a gentleman called Daryl and he did punch and rip another gentleman t-shirt. We will visit again though.

Brilliant old fashioned pub,amazing landlady....awesome food(filled rolls cheese and pickle ham and Turkey and stuffing) and beer and a very cheeky tea with macaroons for me(wonderful surprise).
